As the various members of Shibuya Psychic Research attempt to investigate the mysterious “poltergeist” that none of them can sense, each one is seemingly attacked in turn. Shibuya comes up with an explanation to do with the soil the school building’s on and decides to pack up and leave, much to Mai’s exasperation; however, [...]

The OP song is Shalala Ayakashi Night by Saeka Uura, but we don’t get a proper OP this time as this aired as part of an hour-long special.
No ED, that’s on the next episode.

So Geneon created a fan club. I guess that’s news, albeit not very exciting news. The site doesn’t really seem too different from what I had expected. It’s got a streaming episode of Ergo Proxy, a Halloween cosplay contest, a podcast, and a calendar (which doesn’t really have stuff on it yet).
No, [...]

OP - Break Out! (JAM Project) - you can always count on JAM Project for Engrish and cheese. I love them to bits.
ED - Yell! (Minami Kurabayashi) - cheese-tastic song (again) and weird stencilly panorama of the cast thing.
In the grand tradition of subtle hero naming, some years after a series of mysterious meteor [...]

When the hate goes too far =(
This is a tribute to, who I feel are, the most misinterpreted and hated anime characters in anime (specifically: harems). Diverging fanbases often wage war on each other, winners are cursed, losers are consoled by alternate game endings and in the end everyone gets along. But in the [...]

I’ll be using the spelling Ryuk for now, because apparently it’s more correct.
-The other shinigami (none which are as ugly as Ryuk) notice the fact that Ryuk has been missing and decide that its because a human found his Death Note first. There’s also the possibility that he had two Death Notes.
-Light turns down Ryuk’s [...]

And so ends my intro to the new season: possibly the most odd contender out of an impressive bunch. Red Garden scores highly in the strangeness department on pretty much all counts, which surprisingly makes it all the more recommendable.
I must admit that it took more than one attempt to watch this opening episode, Farewell [...]

Opening: "Jolly Jolly" by JiLL-Decoy association
A likeable "makes me think of new york"-song, with a touch of swing!
The animation is just awesome fascinating, with it's moving, laminar coloration.
Short Summary:
The story takes place in New York. There's a strange case of five girls' suicide. The day Liz is found as the next victim the four girls Kate, Rose, Claire and Rachel can't remember what they did last night. They are attending the same rather strict school and know each other, although they are not friends. All of them are shocked after hearing about Liz dead - the girl was missing. Especially Kate is devastaed, it seems liz was her best friend. She walks around lonley and sad when suddenly butterflies appear. Only she and the other three mentioned girls can see them and meet accidentaly. All four notice they can't remember anything about last night, when a ugly woman and a guy appear to tell them they actually died last night. Of course they are in a state of shock, but the situation gets even worse when a man in a suit starts to run towards them and the woman wants them to kill him.
My opinion:
Lika most of the time I was not informed what this show is going to be about...so when the opening started I was prepared for some girl clothes shopping hip anime and not for something intriguing like that! Damn, taht show rocks from the first second till the last. You are confrontated with a thrilling plot with many secrets and an awesome cliffhanger at the end.
The animation is experimental, in some scenes too two-dimensional for my taste, but still interesting. Also the character design stands out from everything I've seen so far, closest may be Gilgamesh. I haven't decided wether I like all of the noses yet, bus Rose's is very cute ^^
The only thing really out of place was Kate's little musical song...is this a Disney movie, or what?
Ending: "Rock The LM.C" by LM.C
The ending animation is like the rest of the show suprising and totally rocks. Go and watch it yourself!

I suppose this is the first music post I’m doing. So basically due to a mass release by #nipponsei, I decided to listen to all of them and thought of doing a list of the nice songs. It’s without reference to the OP/ED sequence but some of them makes it nicer, some just don’t fit [...]

Pwned.
This episode was great! I don’t care if the first season was nicer or better, I loved this episode, and there’s not reason not to, since Evangelin and Asuna take up loads of airtime, with a brief fight scene between Chachamaru and Asuna as well.
As per usual, the show follows the [...]

Nightmare - Alumina (40MB, for PSP/Quicktime) | YouTube version
Between the two songs performed by Nightmare for Death Note TV series, I actually prefer the ED theme. There is some kind of melancholy note in this one that I think is far more appropriate for the series. The song is also a lot more pleasant to listen to than the WORLD. Unfortunately the PV is as bad if not worse than the PV for the WORLD. Maybe I'm just not the target market for this kind of PV but then again, I never like PV which mostly just shows the band performing the song. I mostly just lament the lost opportunity for the band to incorporate some Death Note imagery. Maybe a Shinigami or even an apple like in Manatsu no Yoru no Yume, Suga Shikao's PV for Death Note movie. Come to think of it, the band members here look a lot more like Akuma from D.Gray-man but I think I digress.
