themaskedman’s comments about the censorship in Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei gave me a crazy idea that kept me up way past my bedtime. A little Photoshop + inspiration from here =

07/21/2007 02:22 AM EDTFigure Review: Wafuudou Ganguten’s Iris PVC from Princess Waltz >>
The preorder of this kit was a no-brainer back when it was announced in April, for reasons that were revealed a few weeks ago at AX. It was tough for me to talk about this Iris when she was announced without mentioning that Peach Princess had acquired the rights to produce an English version of Princess Waltz, the game from which she hails; needless to say a lot more will be known about her in the future, but for now we can examine at least the superficial aspects of this kit in an attempt to determine why you should buy the game when it comes out what makes Iris so damn awesome.

Real life got in the way a bit, but the post-AX podcast episode is now here! The first half of the episode is about some of the new shows this summer, including Zombie Loan, Mushi-Uta, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai, and Nanatsuiro Drops, as well as the ending of Nodame Cantabile. The second half [...]

07/20/2007 11:45 PM EDTCode-E Episode 2: What?! You don’t understand science?! >>
Well this episode didn’t really explain anything either. Though it seems the plot and the way it is going wants it to be that way so there is a goal or what not. Though being out of the loop like this is kinda weird, usually there is a least more to go off [...]

I'm sorry that this comes even later than usual but I haven't been feeling well in the past few days and didn't feel like writing anything until now. Anyway, this is a very gratifying episode because everything that I wanted to happen actually does happen in this episode. It's unfortunate that some of the incidents in question are not permanent because the show would be a bit more interesting if the writers actually killed a few annoying characters. In other note, I think the answer to Hei's love interest is provided in this episode. I think I was partially right in that it's a toss up between Amber and Yin. Misaki is still not on the picture though despite what the opening implies. In other note, the animation for this episode is unbelievably good. The flashback battle between November and Maki is a good example of this.

The fifth volume shows little of Johan’s larger plan but makes up for this with portraying Tenma’s efforts in trying to understand him and track him down. There’s a great side-story featuring Lunge, who is still convinced that Johan is Tenma’s alter-ego but the main event is Tenma’s effort to understand Johan at a criminal [...]

It’s hard to believe, but it’s been almost four years to the day since I first started anime blogging. Back then, you could count the members of the anime blog community on one hand. For that matter, a community didn’t even exist. It’s impressive how much the community has grown since then.
