Lucky * Star was better than I thought it would be. The opening dance was fun, but it didn't exactly sell the show. As I began to watch it I thought to myself that I would probably quit viewing it within the following few minutes. I decided to tough it out.
The first episode gets funnier as the show progresses. I laughed, but mostly it made me hungry.

So, by now, I’m about 30 minutes into now being old enough to drink, gamble and rent cars in the US (Age 21). I’m more of an “adult” legally than I have been before, and I’m not sure if I can handle that responsibility yet, notwithstanding that my graduation from college is imminent [...]

gonzo got confused for a second and thought that they were producing an anime version of the merchant of venice ::rimshot::
I think I figured out the problem, and by me I mean jason:
“The problem is that Gonzo never looks that bad yet you can’t help but wonder, “They could do a lot better” when [...]

When a trio of Sekirei figures were announced at Wonder Festival Summer 2006, despite the good-looking prototypes available at the event I wasn't particularly interested. That all changed when I picked up the manga that was their source, and realized that Gokurakuin Sakurako's delightful little bundle of fanservice and moe was more than I had given it credit for. Does Movic's PVC rendition of Musubi do her manga counterpart justice? I'd answer that with a resounding YES, but don't take my word for it - read on!

1) This sounds somewhat derogatory, but I don’t really mean it that way: Kaibutsu Oujo seems like the kind of show for people that think that anime is “hip” and “cutting edge”, but don’t self-identify as an anime fan. This is partially through its distinctive superflat art, but primarily through how the show is [...]

Well it was a pretty good episode if you ignore the fact that the name “ROMEO” no longer stands for that rico suave type character who wants to hit that….but rather some average guy who sees flowing hair and petals and suddenly falls in love with this chica. I also don’t get the point of [...]

It’s time for a little more insight into Clare’s world, and as Lucky roasts up some delicious desert crocodile for dinner, Clare reveals that Claymores barely need to eat. In truth, she has just ordered a new set of clothes and didn’t want to buy the next higher size (desert crocodile is very fattening). [...]

So this week actually kept on pretty well with the story other than the keyword fillers, and the filler stating the compact between Sand & Leaf. Naruto bitching about the mission actually was in the manga. In the battle of the puppet masters, Sasori finally destroyed all of Kankuro’s puppets and then stabbed him [...]

For the purposes of this, I’ll be setting aside previous assertions regarding The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, regardless of their nature. This includes my “vitriolic rant on moe” and any beliefs anyone else holds. In addition, as this is a study of the anime, the books and manga will be disregarded for now. Now, the [...]

I don’t see what all the hate for Lucky Star is about. Sure, it’s not the best comedy ever, or even the best one out now (that goes to Hidamari Sketch), but it was still a pretty good show and after they got pass the food jokes it was funny. Lucky Star is about the [...]

This episode is a lot more enjoyable than the first episode. First thing first, the action is a lot more fluid and it's easy to understand what is about to happen when a character uses his/her power. Informations about the mysteries also start to come and this is a good thing because normally a show take at least 10 episodes before revealing anything. It also helps that the soundtrack is a lot better in this episode. One thing that concerns me is the episodic nature of the stories. Judging from the preview, it is obvious that they are going to deal with a new client. I'm just hoping that there will be continuous arc underlining these one-off cases. I guess I was quite right when I said that the group reminds me a bit of Jigoku Shoujo's group. Well, as long as the story is a lot more entertaining then this should be good. After all, series like Cowboy Bebop and Mushishi are episodic but still manages to be entertaining.

As most anime fans are concerned with how the series of a show ends, and which characters might end up with another character, I have to take talk my hats off to this production, as I thought that this episode is a fine example of how to end an anime series.
As the majority of anime [...]

Hei is awesome. Bastardly so.
Finishing the pilot episodes of Darker than Black was hard only because I had to wait a week, and the first episode didn’t leave a lot to my mind to chew on except to anticipate. Thankfully the second half delivered without any problems.
But why am I getting Jigoku Shoujo vibes? I [...]
