Venus Versus Virus, ep. 8: “Dark Wish” (Kurai Negai)
Lucia’s desire for vengence makes her reckless and leads her to danger. Summary and thoughts following the pics (click to enlarge):
Yoshiki stops Sumire after school and tells her that even though she may have something to do with the events at the playground, he still wants [...]

Since I’m starting to read manga now, I want to keep track of what I read just like I do with my anime. The animelog is rather easy to do you just have to keep track of the total episodes you’ve seen and the total number of episodes each series. I’m not entirely sure how [...]

My reaction. Note it took me ten minutes to find a suitable image without danbooru. Orz.
Danbooru is dead. Perhaps the single greatest collection of images to ever be compiled on the net is gone. This is a sad day for bloggers. Where are we going to get those crazy, irrelevant, and sometimes NWS images that [...]

After the Rozen Maiden podcast competition, Geneon have another licensing contest going on over at ANN. I’m going to assume this is something other that Karin, given that pretty much everyone who would care already knows they have that. Could Geneon be the mysterious licensor of Ouran?
Probably not, since that is now a known quantity [...]

Saddest news ever on the internet, today - Danbooru, that amazing picture resource is now permanently dead.
Many many thanks go to rq for thinking up and maintaining what has become the picture resource for anime fans everywhere. It will be missed eternally, especially by me.
I very sincerely hope that someone will pick up the dbdump [...]

Bleach. A shounen series that started off very strongly and that I followed religiously to the end of the Soul Society arc but then got disllusioned with the new filler rubbish and never came back to it. People with good observational skills will notice that I posted a Konshuu no Renai about Orihime and Tatsuki [...]

It would appear that the popular anime image sharing site Danbooru has closed down, with the message “Danbooru is dead” displayed on its front page.
If you would like to setup your own image sharing site you may still download the source code that drives Danbooru (TagBoard).
Moetry, a blog operated by Danbooru’s founder, has an entry [...]

Sorry for the utter negelction of this blog this week. After a mix of depression in the early week and sickness in the late week (which I still have right now) I have not been in the mood to watch anything. Hopefully, by the Spring I’ll be ready again, because there’s plenty of interesting looking [...]

Everyone else has been talking about it, but Kurt Hassler is doing it: Hassler told me today that Yen Press is planning to publish a manga anthology, probably beginning in 2008. The format: black and white, chapters of 6 to 8 stories per month, some additional editorial content, and yes there will be ads.
“Were looking [...]

Remember when we were all oogling over Ouran last year? ^_^
Also known as I have time to kill before my job interview (hooray!) The probability of me actually blogging/watching these series beyond episode 1 is slim to none for most and I’m just going by pretty pictures or what I actually know of the story. [...]

If you haven’t bought the first manga volume (released by Vertical Inc.), you can’t even imagine the awesomeness that you’re missing out on.
From genkischuldich, the official site has listed the seiyuu cast (who are all KICKASS, as deserving of this series anyway)
Jomi Marquis: Saiga Mitsuki
Soldier Blue: Sugita Tomokazu
Keith Anian: Koyasu Takehito
Fishis: Kobayashi Sanae
Seki Rei Shiroe: [...]

There was always something about certain anime that would irritate the hell outta me. I could never say what exactly since it seemed pretty elusive to describe. After going through NewType USA with Chikashi, I finally have a name to put to a face - moe.
Gah, I loathe weak female characters, aka moekko. Loathe [...]

Spam is the worst thing ever invented by man. It is completely useless and wastes my time. Nobody wastes my time except me. At least thermonuclear weapons may someday be used to blow up a planet-annihilating meteor heading our way like in Armageddon.

When one goes to Akihabara, apart from the tons of manga and anime figurines and merchandies, the place is also saturated with “maid services.” Basically nowadays there’s so many varieties from cafe to getting your hair done … whatever you want you can get it provided by a maid, or at least a pretty young [...]
