Hakuoro here. Although I could have easily won Sakuya for my harem, I chose to refrain in favour of the bigger picture. She may be somewhat inconsistent and difficult to predict, but I have my heart set on adding Emperor Kuuya to my harem, and no measure is too great if it can aid in [...]

The original To Heart is one of my favorite anime series, so I was eagerly looking forward to To Heart 2 when I first heard it was getting animated. Reading the excellent posts on Bluemist's blog describing each girl's scenario from the game, it was easy to see there was a lot of potential out there for a touching, dramatic anime series. Unfortunately, while you get the occasional glimpse of

I’m not sure where I found this piece of Dragon Hunter fan-art, but it is one of those pieces that instantly makes me interesed in the manga it is based on. Whoever drew this, I love you!

Okay, I admit it; this post is mostly just an excuse to try out my new digital camera.
I ordered Kino’s Journey and Full Metal Panic last week and they arrived early yesterday. I’ve been indulging in a little FMP. I had forgotten how much the first few episodes totally rocked! As for Kino’s Journey, I’ll probably wait until I have time to marathon the entire thing, or maybe a half/half stint.

Ok, now I will be up front and say that Astro Boy doesn't ring my bell, but if you don't know who he is, then I pity your existence. Please die in a fire. That's like day one stuff right there. Anyway, moving on from that, a Hong Kong animation studio by the name of [...]

If there's one thing I love it's a good flashlight sex toy… I mean flashlight ghost hunting party. I mean, I could see how a flashlight sex toy could be beneficial during a ghost hunt (a sexy ghost hunt) but that's not what I was talking about. Look, let's just forget about all that and [...]

So, I wrote yesterday about TOKYOPOP unexclusiving some of their web-only titles to cheers of "Who cares?" and "Fuck TOKYOPOP in the first place." but after having read a bit more about it, the situation looks a bit better for us, if not entirely fucking confusing. And by confusing, I mean to say they do [...]

Also coming from Alter in January 2007 (or so it would seem, what with delay after delay going on), are these two figures of Tachibana Rei and Nagi. Rei is from Pani Poni Dash!, the anime with the 11 year old teacher (lol), Nagi is from the Peace@Pieces H-Game.Rei is quite well done, if well done means looking like the anime. And she's got removeable glasses! Yay. I don't think she's a character that makes an interesting PVC figure, but Alter has still done a fine job here. Though I must say her rear view doesn't look very good. She looks better from the front. 1/8 scale, as usual, and it's the usual 4800 Yen also.Name: Tachibana Rei 1/8 scale PVCManufacturer: AlterRelease Date: January 2007Price: 4800 YenNagi here completes the pair of Death Gods which also includes Hikaru, released a month back. I haven't played the game or anything, but this, along with Hikaru, make pretty nice eye-candy. I love the base she's sitting on, that round green thing, whatever it is. Looks like a cute insect. =)Name: Nagi (Death God Ver.) 1/8 scale PVCManufacturer: AlterRelease Date: January 2007Price: 5500 YenOh, and since I mentioned delays earlier, here's a list of the PVC figures that have been delayed, in case you didn't get what I was talking about.Delayed Figures:Max Factory - 1/7 Ignis [Sept ==> Oct]Max Factory - Yuuma [Sept ==> Oct]Max Factory - Van [Sept ==> Nov]Max Factory - Kotona Elegance [Sept-Oct ==> Nov]Good Smile Company - Kazami Mizuho [Sept ==> Nov]Good Smile Company - Fate T.Figures [Sept-Oct ==> Nov]Good Smile Company - Fate Testarossa [Sept-Oct ==> Nov]Alter - School Rumble 2nd Sem TMC [Sept ==> Oct]Alter - 1/8 Ignis [Sept-Oct ==> Nov]Alter - Alvis E.Hamilton RE-ISSUE [Sept-Oct ==> Nov]WHEN THE HELL WILL I BE ABLE TO GET MAX FACTORY'S IGNIS?! Wow, my post, Scary Yaoi Fangirls, really brought some of them to my blog’s door (just read some of the comments under the post). Now that I have my brush with them, let me just say that I’m glad that I live half a world away from them.

As the title says, I am back from the 5 days of enforced holiday in the island archipelago of Indonesia. Turns out it wasn’t a rainforest but more like igneous rock terraced subsistence agricultural highland. The climate was really unbearable, with searing heat in the day and biting chill at night. And worst of all, [...]

I didn’t read any mention of this back when I read The Science of Anime, but I learned in post-humanism class* yesterday that scientists are working on developing similar systems. The research is still in its infancy, but scientists have been able to develop systems which can stimulate the nerves in the arms or [...]

Unfortunately, there wasn't anything new from these two episodes as these are just new permutations of the story. In addition to this, there are some cheese-tastic moments in episode 23. Having said that, I actually enjoyed the comedic parts of the story. The gun fights between the students at the start of episode 22 was exciting to watch. That was probably one of the few times when Keiichi actually looked almost cool. I was also amused to see Shion and Kasai's interaction in episode 22. They are quite an interesting pair to watch. I wish there is 'The Shion and Kasai story', featuring the duo on various comical scenarios. I'm sure it'll be more fun to watch than watching Shion obsessing about Satoshi. With only 3 more episodes left, I wonder if the writers can actually write a satisfying conclusion for the series.
