Oars Jr. tries to reach Ace among the chaos.Just like a scene out of a giant monster movie.Summary:Using his massive size and strength, Oars Jr. opens a path through the bay towards the execution platform. Meanwhile, Boa Hancock starts attacking everyone in her way including the Marines. Oars is bent on rescuing Ace, because Ace was his friend and sewn a giant straw hat for him. Unfortunately, Oars' size makes him an easy target and he is hammered by cannon fire and Kuma's attacks. Oars tries to swipe at the Shichibukai, but Doflammingo cuts off Oars' legs, and Gecko Moria pierces Oars with a giant arrow just as Oars was about to reach Ace.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The big battle claims its first major casualty as Oars Jr. is taken down by the Shichibukai. Looks like Oars. Jr. wasn't nearly as powerful as the Oars zombie that had Luffy's shadow. I thought Doflammingo might use his unknown mind control abilities to take over Oars Jr.'s body, but the Shichibukai wasn't interested. Named characters don't die very often in One Piece, so Oars' death will probably have a significant impact for Ace and Whitebeard's crew.On a related note, Luffy's group should be pretty close to Marine HQ by now. I wonder when they'll actually show up to the fight.
