Hello, Let's go review a new series! This time we'll talk about a sci-fi (or well..something similiar) light novel/manga/anime series called "Asura Cryin'" written by Gakuto Mikumo and that got a pretty high success and well 14 volumes (still running)! Let's start up with a synopsis : Tomo was a school kid with just one problem: he had a ghost friend for a while. One day, his life is turned upside down as his world changes into a new one, one which he couldn't imagine before filled with battles and revolving around machines called "Asura Machina". The synopsis and story configure this series as a action/romance/drama one, and while it had a nice concept to start with, the execution of the anime was poor and the ending mostly pathetic. At the end of the anime while everything and everyone seems happy there are countless of questions unresolved and loophole through the whole story (hence the title) that leaved the viewer (or at least me) wondering about how is progressing the canon story in the light novel The characters are many, and many of them lack detail or screen-time to create a certain sort of affection to them or even to recognize their name. The most important are our protagonist and a couple of girls around him and no, apart from a couple of them, the others are not interested in him. My favourite character is the cute Ania Fortuna in both young and adult form. She's voiced by Sayuri Yahagi, and maybe you'll remember her for the Karin protagonist role. This series got packed up into two 13 episodes series, but could have probably fared a lot better in a more complete two season of 24 episodes giving more detail to the subcharacter and developing more the romance ongoing with the protagonist. The graphical department is high level and except for some minor screw up the quality is nice and the animation consistent! The seiyuu that worked for this series are pretty famous (Ai Nonaka and Haruka Tomatsu are present) and do a fantastic job portraying our character's emotion. Opening and Ending song are the top thing of this anime. All are songs by "angela" (she also prepared some of the Shikabane Hime songs) and are wonderful. I literally loved "Alternative" and "Kanata no Delight"!!! Concluding this may have been a wonderful series if it wasn't for a poor optimized episode structure (many fillers almost everywhere) and low episodes count that didn't allow great character development into each of our characters.    I suggest to anyone fan of Sci-Fi series to follow this one, but it's probably not a good idea to use this series as a startup for someone not familiar to anime due the complicated terminology used during the series that may scare off the viewer. See you soon, feal87 P.S. Stop watching my Anya ok?!
