Episode 11 Rolling Stone | Dream DoorRock and Roll, America’s music is the theme of episode 11. The scene opens on the Ikemens a rock band that’s practicing for their first live gig. Eritate Kengo the lead singer is left alone in the warehouse they’d been practicing in as the other band members quit and walk away. But he declares his determination to continue on alone. Yuri stands before her mother’s grave, Shima approaches saying that he’d anticipated her being there. He tells her the IXA system is complete, and she ask him to let her use it. The IXA was built on her mother’s design. Then in a flashback we see Yuri arrive at the Shima Foundation Human Engineering Lab on the day that her mother and many staff members were killed. She see’s a motorcyclist with a Rook emblem on his leather jacket riding away. She’ll never forget the face and swears her revenge. The scene switches to 2008 Megumi is in front of the graves of her mother and grandmother’s grave when Shima approaches her. Shima asks if it bothers her that she’s not the IXA, she replies that she just wants to carry out her mothers will. Shima tells her that her feelings for her mother are too strong.Funny episode, along with lots of background information revealed and another question to ponder. What kind of work was being preformed at the Shima Foundation Human Engineering Lab and what relationship do they share with the Fangire. At first I thought that possibly they created the Fangire but as we learned in the episode with the chef, he’d actually been alive for hundreds of years, so that’s out.
