Obligatory AnimeSuki thanks goes HERE. I'd also like to take this time to thank ando, minhtam2448, Deathkillz, Seitenkan's Banchou and Psieye from Animesuki for all their comments and effort (even if the Seitenkan fellows are there for Kyon~ko) towards the thread. It is only epic 'cause of you guys.DESU IN MY SAIMOE? MORE LIKELY THAN YOU THINK.First off, the results are a bit...odd, if for me at least. Due to the fact School Days flew under my radar. All I know is that Ito Makoto is craptacular, and the girls of school days would want to tear off his privates. scratch that, they murderalized him instead. JUST AS PLANNED.As this is still nominations, everyone here SHOULD get in (here's looking at you, Kyon~ko). The organizers still have the final say however, but, as this is J Saimoe (There is ISML and Korean Saimoe) there would no doubt be a very strong inclination for the organizers to accept that character as Kyon~ko, as the Genderbending of Haruhi Suzumiya has reached a power level of over 9000 in Japan, thanks to the doujin engine. (I even OWN one kyonko doojin. Kyonko is moe, nuff said.)Still, any Saimoe-ist should know Nominations are one step of the journey. Preliminary rounds and brackets matter too. For example, last year's Saimoe, Siesta got OWNED badly by Hinagiku. If it were anyone else, (NOT COUNTING NANOHA, RM, HIGURASHI, SHANA) surely the rape wouldn't have been so epic. And even then, Rena beat out NANOHA TAKAMACHI, only to lose to Nagi.My expression at the time. Just less Mahou Shojo-ishAt any rate: Results HERE.A few reflections: Kotonoha Katsura is at the top of the frikkin' table. With 19 votes. This is: 1. Fanboy Love for the Anime. 2. DOOOUUUUJIN PAWWAAAAA! 3. She may actually be moe, I never did catch school days, for as I said, it flew under my radar.Miku is nominated with 11 votes. Not surprising, given the sky-high popularity of Vocaloid, and the doujin engine's STRONG backing of Miku. But still, YAY.Here is my Miku Image dump in celebration:Kyon~ko also seems to have made it in, with 3 votes (TO YOU THREE WHO VOTED, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE), thanks to Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, THIS is important however, as it's up to how the organizers wish to see whether it's Haruhi or Kyon~ko. 'Cause Hauhi in PE attire looks VERY similar.Did I also mention that she has legions of fans, powerful doujin backing, and even a (hiatus'ed) VN? That can be a large factor to consider in ANY popularity contest.KYONKO DUMP HERE:Also, Hecate and Shana are in, from Shakugan no Shana. Hecate had 6 votes, Shana slipped my mind.I forsee Shana performing well, regardless of eventual bracket. Tsundere is still a big selling point, and Rie Kugimiya is also a large selling point. Taking into account the new Shana~tans, this could get INTERESTING.Louise is definetely in. 10 votes. 3rd highest Nomination. Henrietta, Siesta and Tabitha too, I believe.Selling points of Louise which I do believe will see her far, now with the absence of Rozen Maiden.1. Tsundere (Overly tsun, IMO, but when she is dere she is DERE.)2. Rie Kugimiya. Nuff 'said.3. Japanese Light Novel readers will really appreciate Louise in the Zero no Tsukaima novels, not just for being a Tsundere, but for REAL, DEEP, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. (heard that, JC Staff?)And from Shigofumi, we have: Chiaki, Kanaka (YES, THE STAFF, WTF) and Fumika-chan. ^^ With 8 votes, 8 votes and 4 votes, respectively. And on the Soul Eater side, we have: Tsubaki (OKAY MY PREDICTION WAS WRONG) with 4 votes, and Maka with 6.Kiri Komori from ZSZS is also in, but her nomination count slipped my mind. And that's all for now. Enjoy ^^
