Toradora! 11 This scene was incredible (and totally hot). My shipping blood is boiling for Taiga x Ryuuji more and more. Basically, Ryuuji flips out on Taiga for treating her dad like shit, while Taiga screams and rages that he deserves it after abandoning her. The whole episode built up to this violently emotional climax for the two leads. Ryuuji grabbing Taiga by the wrists and calling her a bitch sent shivers down my spine, since he never stands up to her tsundere-ness. In the heat of the moment he yells that he can’t see his own dead father even if he wanted to, then apologizes, suddenly realizing that he is pressuring her for his own sake rather than hers. But Taiga’s reaction is probably the most surprising - she covers his mouth and coldly tells him she’ll do it because she doesn’t want to see Ryuuji’s sad face anymore, then walks away in a slow daze to reunite with her dad. Strange that the reconciliation happens so easily, and double strange that Taiga is obeying Ryuuji’s wishes for once. This is only the first part of a three episode arc involving her father (and the school festival, and the beauty competition, hehe) so I’m sure there’s a lot under the surface of this father/daughter relationship that is not as simple as it seems. Shit’s gonna go down. And it’s gonna be great.
