In the end of the last episode, Ushio suddenly fell ill. We all knew that it was definitely because of the same illness as Nagisa had, and a doctor confirmed it in the beginning of this episode. The sports day was out of the question then, because Ushio was ill, and she wasn't getting better at all. One week passed, then another, and another and Ushio still had high fever. All she did was lying in her bed. She couldn't even change her clothes on her own anymore, nor go on toilet on her own. When Tomoya asked her if she wanted something, she said no. But she had one wish in the end, to go on a trip with papa again. Tomoya said that they would go but when she got better. Ushio was disappointed of course, but she wasn't in a condition when she could complain.Tomoya quit his job to be with Ushio. Yoshino-san told him that once she got better he could come back to work with him again. And they exchanged their screwdrivers with the promise that they would return them when Tomoya came back to work. I would have never guessed that a scene where two people exchange their screwdrivers could be so touching, yes, it was very heartwarming, at least for me.Ushio's condition didn't change and she still wanted to travel with Tomoya again. He didn't know what to do but he said that they would go in the end. They left their apartment, but Ushio could barely walk. Tomoya said he would carry her on his back, but she wanted to walk on her own feet. They were heading to the train station but on the way there Ushio lost all her strength, staggered and Tomoya supported her with his arms. Snow was falling upon them and everything was covered in white, a picturesque scenery but with painful atmosphere. Then, Ushio asked if it was night, because she saw nothing but dark enveloping her. The moment later, her hands weakened and became inert. In the Illusionary World, very similar thing happened. The girl collapsed and the junk doll stood and looked up to the sky. Now, we are in Tomoya's thoughts. "I hate this city." We see the moment right before Nagisa and Tomoya first talked to each other, there on the halfway up the hill covered in sakura petals. And Tomoya thinks, "It might have been better if we had never met."I won't even try to guess what will happen in the last episode. Whether we will leap through time or the two worlds will be linked or whatever. It's Key we are talking about so anything is possible. We can do nothing but wait and see.
