Everyone seems to be posting their "Merry Christmas" posts. Did you get any anime related gifts this year? If so, what?
I just got money, so I guess that sorta counts as anime if I spend it accordingly...
I'd like to see those parents who are that knowledgable in anime that they know what to buy...

I got cash money as well as a $25 gift card to Barnes & Noble (could go toward manga). Also, last night I gave myself a Christmas present in TRSI's sale but already seem to have "buyer's regret" that won't leave me until I actually get the stuff in the mail.
I got a second monitor. Now along with Makoto the language-confused computer, Anise the mouse, Minto the spazzy microphone and Noel the digital camera, I have Setsuna, which takes up 1/4 of my desk.
WTF. I got like, some money. Now, a new computer monitor would've been great.
well, my friends gave me a wind chime, a nice photo album and of course a saber Japanese tea cup that I like a lot, not to mention a few beautiful tsuruya postcards.
I envy those who get cash gifts, since as an adult myself I'm not entitled to them anymore lol. On the other hand, since I already have a job I get to spend as much as I can--or as much as my conscience allows me to. I bought myself manga--guess that's my gift to myself. I was also planning on getting a new computer; does that count as a gift too?
I got some money which I'll put towards buying more manga this year, and after saying 'I'm easy to buy for, anything to do with anime or manga and I'm happy!' several times as a hint I also received, vol 1 old boy, vol 1 RG VEDA and vol 1 Lone Wolf and Cub. ^_^ So I'm happy.
I asked pretty much every relative and in-law I have for Amazon gift certificates, and they all obliged, which should cover my anime purchases until June or so. And my wife got me Frangos because mint + chocolate is just an awesome combination ^_^
