I've submitted my photoblog to Animenano and Hung has not accepted it on the basis that there is insufficient content. Quote from Hung: "I'm not sure if a picture blog should count as having enough content."
My site has a simple format of an image, titled with information about the anime/manga/game the image is sourced from, as well as full character names (when known). The image selection is carefully curated so there is a broad variety, only high quality images are posted, and I do spend a lot of time finding, organizing, and posting the images.
I understand that the traditional blog format hinges on an author's writing about a topic. However, within the culture of anime and manga, it is often the artwork itself that is highly valued. Then shouldn't a blog that places the burden of content on that same artwork be a valid blog for an Anime culture blog directory?
What do you think? Check it out at www.moggling.com
Note:
I understand Hung's comments, and also see that a photoblog wouldn't fit well technically in the site (due to no text abstracts) - so I will probably start writing some text content for the images - but I really wanted to see what the animenano community though about this.
