Hinano: Actually, Crast does all that logging business, so you'll have to ask him. I don't have the logs or anything. Wait, do you work for the FBI? I swear, I didn't know it was loli!
hung can you send me the log from the channel?
I did the stats in another program (that doesnt block me >_> lol) and I wanted to use your log because the nanologger's there more often. Is there anyway for me to download it? I saw the nanologger page but it only shows the most recent 100 lines and i didnt see a place to download the full log

A couple announcements about IRC, regarding conversation occurring while I was at school today (woot for staying in channel.)

Bots. No, not unless someone offers a reason other than cool scripts and "keeping the channel alive" which is unnecessary... the channel stays alive in its current state bot or no bot.

Clients. For Mac users, I'll recommend Colloquy (http://colloquy.info) as it is better by far than Xchat Aqua or Macirssi by leaps and bounds. I have no suggestions for PCs as I've never used IRC on one.

OPs. If anyone wants to be one/discuss being one, talk to me in PM on IRC some time when I'm active. The suffix "|persisting" means I'm either AFK or busy.

DrmChsr0- I feel comfortable with rizon for various reasons. Ignore the other channels if you dislike them.

Plus, I can never remember to keep joining the channels after going home and heading back to work and restarting and etc, etc.

Most clients nowadays allow you to specify a list of channels to automatically join, and networks to automatically connect to... so simply starting the program is enough. On top of that, most of the multi-network IM clients (Trillian, gAIM) support IRC as well.. and both support auto-channel join too.

In either case, it appears to be working, even if the channel's a bit quiet during the workday.

I'd prefer if we move the channel over to Pyoko.

Rizon is home to a lot of warez chans, and #4chan.

Have I mentioned I hate 4chan with a passion?

I think that the IRC channel is a nice addition-I believe those who've used it have had a good time at least once or twice since it was registered. I know I had fun last night chatting with Scott, Hung, and Meo :)

I think the forums are working out just fine, I sort of look at it like trying to add forums to a comment centric blog. They're bound to fail because people are already talking a lot as it is. Plus, I can never remember to keep joining the channels after going home and heading back to work and restarting and etc, etc.

!!!!SUPERscript!!!!

Ok, I think I'm digging animenano's IRC channel. I like that it's not very big and complicated. Time will only tell. I'm just glad I got into it at the start.

This sounds like a great idea; and rizon's the best place to do it, since most of the fansubbers and distro groups reside on rizon too.

I'm usually on Rizon anyway, so I'll definitely stop by.
