I have only partial chapters from the second and third arc, too; it reminds me of the Haruhi translation project's approach to translating.

If Wiki is right.. then I shouldn't be reading any of the chapters released so far, since they've only done partial of arc 2 and 3 and skipped 1

Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higurashi_no_naku_koro_ni

It lists all the arcs in order so I'd go by that. I got the manga myself but I haven't gotten to read it yet (must plow through Tsubasa Chronicles First).

Anyone reading this?

I seen one group scanlating it.. but they've released like 2 chs from one vol (watanagashi) and 3ch from another (tatarigoroshi).. and 0 from the other.. am I supposed to be reading it in some odd back and forth manner or what?
