The main character, Midori, is from the Earth Clan, but he's had been such a disgrace to his family that his family tried to hide him from the public. His younger brother named Saku, however, is someone very wekk known in society.The chapter begins with Midori entering the prestigious Planetary Academy... but everyone was surprised with his arrival because they thought that the Earth Clan only had one son. (synopsis by b1px + Sapphire Pyro)b1px had also mentioned that Midori appears to be a sissy guy who is afraid of his brother. I add that he's also freakin' emo that he mopes on a corner most of the time. b1px says that his brother appears to be an intimidating one while I cry on the lack of brotherly love x_x But there's a dude who's nice to Midori.... made me think of 07-Ghost's Mikage. So he might be my bias on this series... also if Midori and Saku are actually twins (they look really alike).... but.... Yeah, I'll be talking about a lot of manga in this post (of course I didn't check them out in a day! I wish I was that superhuman though), now let me start with my not-really-new discovery:Georgie! by IGARASHI Yumiko and MANN IzawaIts anime series was a childhood favorite . . . but I have no memory of its story. I will only recognize the leading girl when I see her and that's it.I'm becoming nostalgic to my childhood favorites so when I found out that this series actually has a manga adaptation, I checked it out at once!I don't understand why I got hooked to this as a kid because it's one dramatic soap opera. And the romance is the type that goes "I'll die if you leave me" crap. The three guys that like the girl are literally CRAZY about her. Ah well, that kind of romance must have been the trend during that era.In fairness, the story's pretty interesting. Georgie I guess is yet one of the few leading ladies that I'm not annoyed with. The one I'm annoyed is with: THE LEADING GUY! Oh gawd that is so rare. EXTREMELY rare for me to feel. But I can't help it. He's a spoiled rich kid who is overly possessive and pathetic. He's also perverted to Georgie, but lucky for him the girl likes him. Guuuuhh . . . the forbidden love her makes me go facepalm because of the irritating leading guy. Fortunately the brothers are pretty decent compare to him, but oh I really want that strangle that leading guy. Ugh.Okay, overall, it's a nice series. Of course you should consider that it's an old one, so I think the mary sue stuff and some cliches are pretty forgiveable for me. Wow, seems that some of my tastes in shoujo (wait, I'm not sure if it's shoujo anymore because it had a sex scene x_x though not explicitly shown, but still there!) hasn't changed much. Haha!Alrighty, now for quick thoughts on recently discovered manga:Arago - London Shikei Tokushu Hanzai Sousakan by ARAI TakahiroIt had an interesting premise but I was pretty surprised that they've resolved their problem with their main enemy in just one chapter. Anyway, I like cop stuff. This had been cool.But it saddens me that my twin boys aren't twin boys anymore because . . . because . . . *cries*I was too sad, I don't know if I could continue. It's too painful for a twin boys maniac like me xD Haha! I know the other twin shows up somehow in the next chapter but it's still different from him being . . .waaaaaaaaaah *cries*En Passant by YUZUNOKI TaroNEW SHOUNEN FAVORITE especially if it'd go focus on the main storyline already =_= It's so promising. And I like chess stuff~ The leading boy is such a pessimist but slightly different from Zetsubou Sensei's style. Even if he's like that, he's awesome! And I actually like the leading girl! Weirdness rock! Hahaha! I ship them too~ Kyaaa~Hopefully more characters on the chess thing show up already. I have a feeling that the best that this series can offer would start on the time they show more of the main story/adventure! Oh I'm excited~Juggle: Ethnicle Romance by ENDOU OkitoI had been interested in this when during the time it just got released because the art is really really PRETTY! I got surprised that it had ecchi though (and yeah, you can see boobs without censor), but it looked like an Arabian tale, and I love that stuff~So now that it's scanlated, it turned out that our leading guy's a prince and he has a genie who he orders to work without using her powers? Interesting~Saiyuki: Reload Blast by Minekura KazuyaI love these four but I really wonder when the hell they're gonna end their journey already x_x Anyway, no matter how episodic their saving-villagers-from-youkais are, they're still so fun and cool! And oh I especially miss Hakkai~I hope the other characters show up soon (I want Kougaji and Yaone) and more on the main story and I want them to get to West already!Zenbu Chodai by KURUMATANI HarukoI've heard about this from namelissis. Since we both enjoyed Faster than a Kiss, I thought another series that she likes so much would be interesting for me as well.Well, actually, I find this stupid. A type of typical shoujo with a "tough" and "multi-talented" leading girl but the oh-so-perfect leading guy got the better of her but she won't admit that she likes him and he won't admit yet either but he'll be showing signs. Gaaaahhh . . . .And the girl's name is Sakura Himeko. A lot of my hated leading ladies have either of those names. I think her name's cursed. Anyway, the only thing I find fun about her is her desire to have all men kneel down to her. It reminds me of Hetalia's Prussia/Gilbert so much. Bwahahahhahaha!Okay, that's it for the recent manga discoveries. Okay, now introducing new series in ZeroSum Magazine in Spring 2010!:I don't understand the titles unfortunately. And the only mangaka I recognize is naked ape. Anyway, the one I find most interesting is Chronos Deep (the guy with black hair looks so familiar), then the one by Naked Ape (I love anything by that duo), then Planetary (I smell supernatural sci-fi~), and the last one . . . errr . . . it looks like a mushy/stupid BL series. Guh.Now for comments on random series (scanlated and raw, but of course I didn't fully understand the raw ones): = WARNING: SPOILERS =+C: Sword and Cornett c.21 - My OTP separated?! T_T NOOOO!!! And Eco and Kiliko meet! Kyaaa!07-Ghost c.50+ - What is Frau doing?! O_OAmatsuki latest - I want more Kuchiha now . . .Bird Cage Manor c.3 & 12 - LOLz trap. I love painter dude. That kiss surprised me though . . . of all people . . .di[e]ce c.33 - I'm lost . . .Durarara! c.3-4 - Izaya's so crazy and awesome! I really really really LOVE HIM! Yay for twistedly evil people!Faster than a Kiss c. 23 - Ugh, Fumiko still not satisfied in being considered "family"? She's making me want to strangle her. But damn, her uncle's pretty cool and fun. But Kazuma was love~Karneval latest - I'm getting lost here tooKimi ni Todoke c. 43 - Lack of Kazehaya but a lot of his fangurl . . . nahNatsu no Zenjitsu latest - valentine's day chapter! Oh it was cute~Sable Prince c.5 - I totally did not expect that pairing! I don't like the princess much but it's an interesting love story~Tenkyuugi Sephirahnahtus c.8 - Finally! One of the hooded guys reveals himself and he's pretty cute! I'm not happy on that lack of Kisa, but still an interesting development! YAY!Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge c.104 - Oh Kyouhei . . .I know you're jealous~ And LOLz to Sunako being pretty OOC. Hahahaha! I have been reading a LOT of new titles but haven't been featuring them recently. It's impossible for me to do impressions post on each of them, even the quick style. So I thought of featuring them in this kind of batch instead. The one featured with a picture would be the recommendation for the upcoming holiday, while the next other titles would represent a specific letter (it could be a new manga that I have either liked or disliked) and together they form a particular message (if you still don't get it from the title, I am not sure what your problem is ^^; Hahahahah!). Alright, here goes:Yoroshiku Master by TSUKUBA SakuraOne day when 17-year-old Sagara Kurumi accidently bumps into a guy on the streets, reins suddenly appear and binds them both! What is this?! Things get even more confusing when the boy, Kaito, clasps her hands and calls her his master! When Kaito transforms into a reindeer it just becomes too much for poor Kurumi who's out as a light. But it does indeed seem like Kurumi's a santa and Kaito's her reindeer and that they've got an important job to do on Christmas Eve~ ^^The idea has been interesting but how the story went hasn't been near great at all, in my opinion. I mean, oh come on, so many Christmases has passed, yet they don't seem to be getting older?! And why is the season on the chapters often either christmas time or summer time? If we just focus on the main plot, it's better as being just a oneshot or just one volume, not as a series. And I have a lot more to complain on character and character interactions, but I'm lazy to specify.However, despite those disappointments, I like this manga a lot! The chapters have been cute and sweet~ Those characters that sort of evaluate the santas are interesting~ Most importantly, Kaito and his older brother are love~ Hahahaha! I find this so enjoyable~ I don't really care about the romance (though I admit the romance is pretty cute . . . but well, the leading girl's not my type), just gimme Kaito. Haha! Looking forward to more~=== M ===[zion] - KAYASE ShikiArt is very pretty and main plot seems very very interesting. However, the events confuse me on what exactly's going on. Character's are introduced like POOF! But maybe it's just me . . . I'll continue reading because I love Kayase Shiki's oneshots in the Arcana Anthology~=== E ===Chu-bra!! - NAKATA YumiI find it too stupidly fanservicey to have a leading girl who is addicted to underwear and examines her friend's boobs by groping her but still didn't expect her act to be something disturbing to be done inside an unlocked classroom. The hell . . I just read this because an anime adaptation's coming. No way I'll read more.=== R ===Esogaroto - usiI fell in love with this already when I saw it raw. Nothing much had happened for 2 chapters, but I find stories involving different worlds or something like dimension crossing interesting. Hope it doesn't disappoint. The colored pages would be a waste.I'll be reading more of this of course.=== R ===Hanamaru Kindergarten - YutoIt's cute and pretty funny . . . I also like the adults in this series. But oh gawd, I am not comfortable with the idea of such young children wanting to seduce a much older guy in such ways. Oh I wish real children won't follow such an example.I don't like lolis anyway. Not reading more of this.=== Y ===Heroman - LEE Stan, BONES and OODA TamonAs I've expected, it's typical shounen wherein the loser leading guy gets to pilot a giant mecha very well, even if it was his first time, and saved the world. I expected better from Stan Lee and BONES.I've had enough of typical shounen. Gimme something different.=== C ===Hokenshitsu no Shinigami - AIMOTO ShouI find it odd that this isn't gaining popularity . . or maybe it's because of the art style? But it's really good and interesting. And I just love freaky doctors who handle supernatural cases. And the main kids here hadn't been the annoying typical ones. I'm so impressed with this.I wish there'll be more of this. Scanlations are too behind sadly . . .=== H ===Jio to Ogun to Kinjirareta Mahou - KIRIHATA AyumiThe raw got me bored. The beginning of the scanlation was so dull it got me bored as well. It was the typical story of a boy wanting to be a great magician and blah blah blah. However, things got interesting in the later half. And the boy has grown up! Finally got me interested~Ah well, stories with magic will always be something interesting for me. Hehe~=== R ===Kaiyorihito Kaiyorishiki - KAZU AkiIt's not the first time I see a manga with a main character who has a great power and many are after him but he has a bodyguard protecting him. Fortunately, he's not really weak even when he's not using THAT power. Story's interesting so far~ But I have to admit what I liked most in this is the mutual sister-brother complex and the relationship of the two leading guys. Haha! Yay for crack!It was entertaining. Besides, art's so pretty. Wanna read more of this~=== I ===Keep Out - HICHIWA Yuka and KISARAGI HirotakaSomeone recommended this to me when she learned that I could read shounen-ai as long as it doesn't go to . . .a higher level. Haha! Well, the story in this series had been okay. The romance is a little . . .err . . duh . . . but their interactions had been so amusing~ The drama's pretty nice too. I enjoyed it!Well, I guess I can include this in my very short shounen-ai-that-I-read list.=== S ===Ladies versus Butlers - KOUZUKI Tsukasa and NEKOMARU NekoyashikiI know this is ecchi from the anime trailers, but I'm still hoping to see some butlers. Unfortunately, the females for perverted fanservice had dominated the series, and the leading guy's one of those losers that would most likely do something great later. Bah! I'm sick of that.I might've liked this if there are more butlers. Haha! No maidos fanservice for me.=== T ===Léquios - IKEGAMI Eiichi and MAESHIMA ShigekiI loved this when I saw this raw (because of the butterflies! Wheee!) and it had indeed been interesting, even if we don't know much of the story yet. The main cast is an interesting combination though (especially that hott lieutenant). This looks so cool~I wish there'll be more of this~=== M ===Love Sick - MORIE SatoshiTypical reverse harem shoujo with a leading character that wants some typical revenge and she easily gets along with unsociable bishies because she's the main character. The plot gave me so much headache. The characters haven't been interesting. The twin boys in this series hadn't appeal to me, to the surprise of others (I like twin boys, but the twins here aren't close. Bah!). It's a wannabe of popular shoujo. Ugh.It sucks. No way I'm giving myself more headahes.=== A ===Million Girl - MOMOYUKI KotoriThe game thing in this series got me intrigued. And there was an eyepatch bishie and an evil goddess. I thought it might be interesting. To my disappointment, the game was so lame. It felt stupid, and the gambling game became too shoujo. Ugh. Leading girl's also too pathetic.Headaches? No thanks.=== S ===Mr. Morning - TAKAYAMA ShinobuIt was interesting but . . . I find it a little boring. Perhaps it's bcause I'm not fond of train trivia? Ah well, I liked reading it but it wasn't that . . uumm . . .addicting to me as I expected I would feel for it (with the author's other work, Amatsuki, it had been the opposite. I thought I won't like it much but later I got hooked. Hehe)Takayama Shinobu's awesome so I should read more. And of course, there'll be cleavage shots, panty shots, groping, and the like. Guuuh . . . at least the leading girl here isn't being innocent. She was seducing him for real. But still . . . Typical ecchi shounen is typical . . . and stupid. But it's not that horrible, it might be okay to read if I want to waste time.=== E ===Rain - YOSHINO Takumi and SUMIKAWA MegumiFantasy series . . . best friends . . . and a military leading guy who is badass and crack??? The plot seems interesting and the art's so pretty~ I'm in!Oh I wish to see more of this~=== R ===Replica - KARAKARA KemuriA wild dude that has very good samurai skills . . . . is being abused by a character with no expression. That's just awesome~ And they actually help each other. It turned out to be more interesting compare to when I saw it raw! The art is nice and I find the new technology here interesting (reminds me of some that I've learned in college, particularly on my subjects that involve about future technology). Sadly, the story didn't captivate me as much. It's just so . . . duh. But maybe it's just the first chapter. One of my favorite mangaka liked it, so it has to be aweosme overall! Hahaha!I shall like whatever Akizuki Sorata liked~=== D ===The Four Kuzumoto Siblings - KINOSHITA SatoshiTypical shounen wherein main characters each have incredible power. Too much of a coincidence that all four siblings have a female counterpart, and seem to be the romantic interest of each. Ugh, where's the character variety? But anyway, it had been enjoyable for me to read. For some reason, even if the characters are pretty stereotypical, the're still likeable (eldest brother's awesome~).I enjoyed reading this! Oh I'm really a sucker for supernatural shounen, huh?=== Y ===The Sleepy Residents of Birdcage Manor - KABEI Yukako and TAKARAI RihitoNude modeling? Not often do I encounter manga with that. Anyway, it has mature themes but art is really pretty and the plot's interesting. The painter leading guy's also so hott. Haha! I really liked this~You don't get to see this type of manga often. Definitely reading more of this~=== ! ===Undertaker Riddle - AKAI Higasahe only cool thing here are the butterflies and the undertaker stuff *was shot* Well, it's the typical contract with the devil-like adventure, with some shounen-ai undertones. It's nowhere near great, but it was fun to read~ Hehe.I'm not picky with good stories if it got me entertained. Hehe. Of course I'll be reading more of this. Tonight I had planned to post the last H*P Halloween Special entry but . . . I still couldn't finish it x_x So they'll be delayed . . .For now I'll go fangurling over latest manga for the last day of October instead~DOLLS made it in the cover this time! I saw the chapter + special in it . . .but I'm so behind this series so I have absolutely no idea on what's going on. I couldn't even recognize the characters anymore . . .eheheheThe other chapters that I've seen that are in it will be included in this post. Too bad no raws of Izayakaku, Cornett, Tousei, Tenkyuugi, Di[e]ce, and Alice floating around yet . . .There's a new series in this issue by the way! The title has the words "devils and realist" (I couldn't decipher the japanese text) and it's a fantasy series with demon king stuff. The story seems interesting and the art looks pretty~Okay, onto the spoilers that are mostly based on visual interpretations and extremely limited Japanese (except for 07-Ghost which has rough translations available).[ Karneval - Chapter 27 ]Errr . . . .I just spent my time staring at the cover in this chapter. It's just so . . .gorgeous~ Hehehehe~I think I should've checked the translations of the previous chapters. I really have no idea on what's going on in this one. Especially with the part with Karoku . ..[ Amatsuki - Chapter 63 ]Oh god . . . my OTP seem to be doing some romantic speeches here HOWEVER they got separated and Toki is badly injured. DAMN! I want a reunion . . .NOW!!!! (And did I hear the rumor correctly that Toki had confessed (or sort of confessed) to Kuchiha??? PLEASE BE TRUE!And my darling Tsuyukusa (my favorite~) had been adorable as usual. He's freakin' adorable in any chapter, angle, expression, tralalalalalallala *crazy Tsuyukusa fangurl*[ 07-Ghost - Chapter 53 ]The chapter cover is so beautiful~Chapter spread had been very beautiful as well~OTP!!!!! That's why I hate shotas that act oh-so-cute. Guuuh . . .AND WHOA!!!! So they've met before as kids! Looks like Ouka is still not used to it, or can't control her angel. And Raphael is so ready to exterminate Teito (Makes me want a Raphael VS Mikhail battle!!!! NOW NOW NOW NOW) but Hakuren interrupted! (Great timing Hakuren, dear! Love ya~)Oh my god . . . I want more of Teito and Ouka interaction . . . better if Mikhail is back! Oh bring back my beloved, damnit![ Ao no Exorcist - Chapter 8 ]COLORED SPREAD LOOKS SO WONDERFUL!!!!And there's already the 2nd volume of Ao no Exorcist! And it has Yukio in it and it's SO BLUE! OF COURSE IT'S AWESOME BECAUSE IT'S BLUE!!! BWAHEHEHEHEH!!!!Oh yeah, one of the greatest fanservice that this series gives me is the TWIN BOYS fanservice *very fond of twin boys* Preferrably identical, and of course they have to be cute. Rin and Yukio are cute, but they seem so different that I accepted the idea that they're fraternal twins. But after seeing this:HE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE RIN WITH THAT PISSED OFF EXPRESSION AND WITHOUT THE GLASSES, RIGHT????OR MY EYES ARE JUST FOOLING ME????Ah whatever, it was lovely to see Yukio without the glasses~ And Rin is handsome just the way he is:MOST GORGEOUS LOOK OF RIN IN THIS PANEL!!!! SQUEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!Anyway, in that part, Rin had sort of tamed some monster. He did the the same way their father did (the priest, not satan). So they'll have a pet around now? Seems okay~This chapter is like a brother-bonding episode. It began with the twins at home, then arguing (I don't know why but their father was mentioned, and Rin ruined the glasses intentionally [what's with the glasses?] then laughing about it, but later they were on a mission together, and Rin took care of the problem with a headbutt and an extended hand. Thenlastly they had a drink "Cheers!"). Another brotherly duo showed up:Mephisto and whatever-is-his-brother's name seem like they're watching over and talking about someone (perhaps the twins). And there's a guy with them (the teacher that planned to kill Rin? I'm not sure, it's so dark . . .) Oh I love Mephisto's brother. His "binoculars" are amusing. Hahaha!I fond it weird that chapter 7 isn't scanlated yet. No translations either. Oh please show up soon~ I'm very excited for that and this one *_*

Even now that I hear characters that he voices for, I can always see a similarity to Lelouch's voice. I guess I was again geassed to always remember Code Geass over and over and over and over again.

On her first day she's late due to a run-in with the student council secretary (he's a hottie, natch), resulting in her having to clean a statue as punishment. A sudden downpour strands her outside, and of course, a demon shows up.  Cue the entrance of Kansuke, the student council and their cats, and the spirits of a princess and her cat who offer Yumi and Kansuke power in exchange for committing to the battle against demons. Kansuke rushes into the agreement-- he wants power with which he can protect Yumi in thanks for saving his life --and mega-knitter Yumi suddenly has the power to summer yarn, which can become magic-powered suits for Kansuke, who can become mildly humanoid.  After the battle with this first demon it's revealed that the school was founded in part to train students like Yumi and the rest of the student council to fight against a sealed demon who is due to bust out soon. The Review Perhaps it's just due to the contrast with Zone-00's muddled mix of plot and characters, but the simplicity of Cat Paradise winds up more charming than boring, for the most part-- especially once you get past the introductory explication of the first couple of chapters. The tale of a student council member who uses her cat's (and her own) immense physical power to try and force the enemies in a parley-- to "talk it out" --is especially promising when it comes to the development of all of the characters, even if our intro characters are fairly simple from the get-go.  In retrospect I wish I had shown more interior art in the above video, although it would have ruined the comedic effect. I've quickly become fond of Iwahara's art here, which is almost entirely lacking in screen tones, favoring that cool dark sketchy pen look instead (sort of a softer Hellsing style). Iwahara is also the artist for the Darker than Black manga, by the way. The monsters and action are as nicely done as the occasional blushing schoolgirl.  This is a shounen series (from Akita Shoten's Champion RED), but I had to double-check to be sure given the schoolgirls and hot boys element; it's very girl-friendly for those of you who get sick of all the action series featuring male leads (not that Hime is much of an action hero at this point) and boobalicious fanservice. The manga is rated older teen, but I'm guessing it's for later content (or perhaps Hime's friends talk of a particular faculty member being a "flamer"?). All in all, this manga isn't going to change anyone's life, but it's a pretty pleasant excursion for fans of fantasy action. It looks like a solid, if not particularly innovative, story, with strong art and characters who have the potential to be interesting.
