Sean and Kevin discuss Macademi Wasshoi. But we learn just how messed up the platypus is--they ruin everything! Including podcasts.

Welcome to JurassicPark….I mean, Macademi Wasshoi! One of the finest magician’s academies anywhere, even though it does exist in an alternate dimension and it is a bit of a workout to get to it, but if you want to better who you are as a magician, this is the place to be. Takuto Hasegawa (far [...]

I think this was a valliant effort at uniqueness through pointlessness in slapstick humour. But it didn’t connect, although I gave it an episode beyond Falce’s arrival, in case the end of harem formation brought out something interesting.
Actually, the oft-repeated claim of uniqueness is a bit overdone, I think. As far as unhinged humour goes, [...]

Macademi 01 was finally posted at Crunchy, and it’s still a disappoinment (I watched a small piece raw back in the day). It’s exactly the same as Otoshimono [1], only whacky and over the top. Worse, Tanarotte did absolutely nothing to endear. The dude seems kinda ok, as far as they go, but whatever.
IIRC SDB [...]

From Megami Magazine 104. The image is from Macademi Wasshoi! I think both look sexy but I am know if the series are popular. This is an update from this post!

One of the reasons Macademi Wasshoi is so funny has got to be the timing of the jokes. I laugh at everyone that tossed aside this anime simply due to the animation and censoring (All fairness, I've dropped shows for far less significant reasons). Still, you really are missing out on something great. Instead of stalling between jokes for minutes on end, while the viewers grow anxious waiting for a

Fyre wanted me to do Index, but I’m feeling particularly rebellious today, so I’m sticking it to the man.
The school of witchcraft and wizardry really should take a leaf out of their books when it comes to running school events. The only major events they have outside of exams is the Qudditch matches (which [...]

Love and Peace.. *thumbs up
Impression:
I don't know what to even make of this episode. However funny it was, and however many times I laughed, I still can't believe I watched 20 minutes of a bisexual masochist Angel who gives out too much loving of all things, only to end the show with a questionable yaoi moment.. There was a moment during Stein and Muscle-kun's (

Let's go! Harem, Megane, Sailor-Suit Cop..
Impression:
This episode took us away from the serious notes that they included in the third episode with the introduction of Falce. Basically everything returned to its crazy random plot, much to my enjoyment. I was really looking forward to how things would turn out when they involved Tanarotte/Suzuho with

My eyes are bleeding from all the moe..
Sorry about snapshots? I got so extremely far-out lazy/high - I just couldn't bring myself to do it correctly over paying more attention to the movie I was watching. Theres about 5 to 10 minutes of the final fight scenes that I just didn't take any snapshots of. Mainly because there were so many good points to the episode

Another random episode full of fanservice, comedy, and random shit everywhere! But hey, I don’t get it. This by far more interesting and more cute than Kemeko DX, yet episode 2 came out, went on raw for a week, and nobody ever bothered subbing it. Even episode 1 (oh wait, screw that, there’s a sub [...]

Whoever thought of giving two lolis power over 9000 is a freakin’ genius!
This is one of the weirdest completely over the top anime to come out since Gurren Lagann, and although not as GAR as Gurren Lagann, this is just as ridiculous and just as awesome! It may not be for everyone as this anime [...]

「なんか女の子出てきちゃったんですけど」 (Nanka Onna no Ko Dete Kichattan Desu Kedo)
"Um, But a Girl Came Forth"
First Glance:
In what looks like a mash up between Zero no Tsukaima and Negima comes Macademi Wasshoi!, an adaptation about a high school boy named Hasegawa Takuto who's ordinary in every way (appearance, grades, athletics), except he attends a secret, unmarked Magician's Academy after school.

Zero no Tsukaima premise reversed. Guy summons girl familiar which turns out to be powerful enough to destroy a country alone, but thankfully she’s an airhead and only cares about him.
I felt quite jaded while starting the show. It still has its moments though, like the yandere cousin who’s not someone to be trifled [...]

Macademi Wasshoi
Short Synopsis: Our lead character gets loved by two cute girls.
Highlights: As if this season hadn’t already enough annoying and overly cute girls…
Overall Enjoyment Value: 6/10
Really, I was sure that Kemeko Deluxe would have won the title for most unrealistic series of the season, but this series sure proved me wrong on that one. [...]
