Random Curiosity: AZU - Jikan yo Tomare feat. SEAMO PV (Itazura na Kiss ED2)

Watch and listen to it in higher quality here.

While Itazura na Kiss isn't one of the series being covered on this site, I've been following it ever since it started airing back in April. Back then, I got a bit overambitious when I started blogging and tried to cover every series that I was watching and Omni wasn't. When I had eight series under my wing, I stopped myself though, which just so happened to be on a Friday---the day that Itazura na Kiss airs. So for those wondering, this is the reason why continued coverage of this series, BLASSREITER, and Kamen no Maid Guy never saw the light of day back in spring.

In any case, being a romance comedy, I kind of figured Itazura na Kiss would be my kind of show back then and having Mizuki Nana starring in a series never hurts either. What surprised me though is that the series is relatively popular amongst current generation anime fans (which doesn't include me since I'm kind of old school), despite the 1990's style character designs. Anyway, I had to put this series on hold while I was on vacation in Japan and am still catching up when I can, but the second ending theme grew on almost instantly when I heard it. Now before people start jumping on my case that this isn't new anymore, I'll make it clear now that I'm already aware of that fact. However, I only came across this PV somewhat recently when I was looking for what had come out for the past summer season, so I thought I'd share my findings for those who don't actively look for anime-related PVs.

More after the jump...

The Blue Fox Alley: NANA 6-10: Haha. Still Oddly Captivating

After a short detour that imparted us with knowledge of both the girls’ past, we are now back to present time. Nana Osaki decides to call her new found friend ‘Hachiko‘ based on the latter’s tendency to stick onto others. Basically these next few episodes warms up the engine as the girls begin their new [...]

j1m0ne's blog: Previewing Mizuki Nana’s DISCOTHEQUE…

I foresee a lot of people hating this! DISCOTHEQUE is like CUTIE HONEY & Cat’s Eye mashed with Morning Musume and that is going to kill all the fans who only got into Nana in her Elements Garden phase. Plus, she uses her cutesy high-pitched voice here, which is an er…acquired taste. Personally, I don’t [...]

Just kill me. Seriously. My seat was really good, 6th from front, in the block to the right of the middle platform. After the encore, Nana smiled back to me. So did Minami, Minorin, and Okui. xD Srsly I have nothing left to regret in this world.

Tondemo Nothing!: Insert sappy ‘Farewell-for-now’ post title here (with possibly witty allusions to trains)

What really went on in Allison & Lillia 13 (It’s more relevant to the post than I expected!)
(In case you don’t get it, I’m Wil’s talking about Mizuki Nana seiyuu singer extraordinaire whose talents are often wasted on B-rate roles/anime, Allison’s seiyuu)
This was about to become a long-assed petty post about why I’ve been slacking [...]

j1m0ne's blog: Mizuki Nana 18th Single 「Trickster」

So there we have it, the ‘official’ title for Nana’s 18th single (released 1st October 2008). Trickster. Trickster… XD No, I can’t quite imagine what it’ll sound like. I keep thinking of Tricky and Artful Dodger (the garage group) when I see that title.
Tracklist:
1. Trickster
Lyrics: Mizuki Nana
Composition & Arrangement: Agematsu Noriyasu (Elements Garden)
2. DISCOTHEQUE
