This wasn’t the ending that I was expecting. Not in my wildest dreams. The least that I could say is that it was quite a happy ending. Now that I look back at my first impression of this anime where I have said that this anime was a terrible one, I feel terrible myself. I do not have the rights to say that this anime is the best anime series aired last season since I do not watch any other series and have nothing to compare, but if you do read Kurogane, you would have heard the same thing from him, "it is official. sola is the best show this season." I made the right decision to go for Sola instead of Lucky Star. Until right now, I do not have any regrets at all picking up and watching Sola. To be truthful, I can see myself maturing among all these decision. I used to prefer watching comedies like School Rumble and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya with a pinch of romance, but now, it seems that I prefer to go for those supernatural types of stories, regardless of its fame and viewers’ ratings. I believe not many have picked up sola if I’m not mistaken, since I do not see sola having being as much talked about as Lucky Star or other animes. I understand that not many of you out there would enjoy watching an anime with typical supernatural storylines – anything could have happened, but it would be nice if you could. Trust me. “Just take it as if you’re being joked.”Everything went upside down when Yorito was told about the truth, the unacceptable truth, the truth that he is not human. He is not a yaka either. He shouldn’t be alive at all. Yes indeed, but the grueling truth is that Yorito is only a being which was created by Aono. Before this, Aono wanted the secret that she is a yaka to be kept intact to herself, but it seems that after Mana intervened, the secret was no longer a secret. Mana revealed the whole secret to Yorito. However, Yorito never revealed anything to her, and so Mana herself never knew that Yorito was not human – and she would never know. She would never know why her tears wouldn’t stop flowing that evening. She would never know who is Yorito or who is Aono or even who is Matsuri anymore. She would never know. She would never remember anything about them, anymore, after that event. Indeed, it would be for the best if Mana and the others could forget about Yorito. Because, the worst is about to fall onto him.On that fateful night, Matsuri and Aono can be seen fighting each other under the bright, full moon. Aono seemed to be more powerful than Matsuri with her unlimited supply of origami papers appearing out of nowhere as Matsuri’s only weapon was her katana given to her by Takeshi. Earlier, Takeshi had left the town with Mayuko after giving in to Mayuko’s request not to kill Matsuri in exchange for her to become human again. In other words, the katana is supposed to turn a yaka back into human, if it is stained with another yaka’s blood. And then again, if a yaka wanted to turn another yaka back into human, the only thing the yaka needed to do is to kill herself with the katana. Simple, isn’t it? Then why I hadn’t even thought of it before? I was still there wondering what Matsuri is going to do with the katana... and heck, she used it to sacrifice herself, and in return, to turn Aono back into human! It was an amazing scene where the projector of the theatre suddenly played a movie of a blue, blue sky when Matsuri decided to pierce herself in order for the katana to work. But the question here is, who the hell turned the projector on? Unless there are somebody else at the scene other than the three. And why the sky? Is it on purpose? I refuse to believe that it was all a coincidence. In order for the katana to work, it has to be pierced into the yaka in order for her to change back into human, and so, Matsuri continued on what she had to do and pierced the katana through Aono. It was Yorito who got in the way and had ended up being killed by Aono. Slowly, Aono lost all of her yaka powers, never to return. Matsuri also slowly evaporated into thin air.Aono returned to school as a human, meeting Koyori in a bookstore, and Mana on the roof of the school. Slowly, the three became friends again as they started to have interest towards the sky... and this time, even Koyori was infected with the ‘sky loving’ disease! The end. A happy ending. Desho? Here’s a short story of what actually happened: Yorito is indeed Aono’s younger brother, but he had long died when their house collapsed. Aono committed suicide after her younger brother’s death by slitting her throat but was brought back to life by Matsuri, as a yaka. Aono who couldn’t stand living without her younger brother, brought him back top life using her powers.Okay, so, in the second episode, we see Matsuri escaping away from Takeshi, but in the last episode, we see Takeshi leaving town just like that, quietly, letting Matsuri do whatever she wants. Just thinking of that made me felt weird. Is it possible for someone to have a sudden change of attitude? Well, whatever happened to the Mayuko and Takeshi remains the same as they continue to go from town to town, living happily. This should put an end to my Sola blogging. I’m picking up School Days next as I have already started to download the first episode from AniYoshi, but something’s telling me that Conclave’s sure to be better than AniYoshi. Can anybody care to tell me which should be better?
