Mikogami scares off Uzume and declares his intentions to Minato.I don't think Mutsu would dare call Miya a witch to her face.Summary:Mikogami, Mutsu, and Akitsu face off against Uzume. As Uzume is distracted by the new arrivals, Homura frees Minato and Uzume decides to retreat. Before Uzume disappears, Miktogami tells Uzume to tell her handler to stop cheating and ruining the game. After Uzume is gone, Mikogami states to Minato that he doesn't plan to fight him here as someone else would benefit. As Mikogami's group turn around to leave, Homura recognizes Mutsu as a member of the original Disciplinary Squad. Mutsu recognizes Homura as well and gives Homura some encouragement for living with the "crazy witches" at Izumo Inn. At this moment, Mikogami turns back to Minato and states that he is not going to let Uzume off so easily next time. Mikogami also adds that he still hates Minato for winging Kusano and taking out Yomi, but he is going to obey the rules unlike a certain cheater. Mikogami then declares that he will be the winner and leaves with Mutsu and Akitsu.After Mikogami's group leaves, Minato calls back to the inn to Matsu. Minato and Matsu had already suspected Uzume was the Veiled Sekirei, and Minato has just planted a tracking device on Uzume (when he hugged her). Minato is confident that Uzume is being forced to act against her will, and he wants to teach a lesson to whoever is manipulating Uzume.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Ha, looks like the real Minato vs. Higa fight is finally in sight. Thanks to Mikogami's not-so-subtle hinting and the tracking device, Minato will probably soon confirm that Higa is responsible for Uzume's behavior. I'm really looking forward to Higa getting his ass kicked and Minato saving his sister. Ideally Minato would save Uzume and Shiina as well, but with the way the Sekirei Plan works Uzume and Shiina will have to go down eventually if Minato is to win. Hopefully it won't take too long until we see this showdown.Back to this chapter, Mikogami showed himself to be a rule-abiding player for some reason, although I think there is more to him than meets the eye. Having Minato go after Higa is of strategic benefit to Mikogami, so Mikogami may have planned this move. Mikogami might be questionable, but Mutsu seems like a cool guy. I loved how Mutsu referred to his days in the Disciplinary Squad as "the Dark Ages" and his encouragement to Homura for living with the "witches". He also accurately described Matsu and Kazehana as "Hentai" and "Drunk", but I'm not too sure about describing Miya as "Prajñā" (Wisdom in Buddhism). I think Miya should be called "Demon". It's interesting that Mikogami doesn't know about Mutsu's history but Akitsu does. This is more evidence that Akitsu was Sekirei #7.

The confrontation between Uzume and Minato's group becomes more interesting.Minato always knows how to take advantage of the situation.Summary:Uzume reveals herself and declares her intention to rob the jinki from Minato's group. Musubi wants to fight Uzume one on one, but while Minato's group is distracted by the suggestion, Uzume wraps up both Musubi and Tsukiumi and then grabs Minato. Homura orders Uzume to let Minato go, but Minato suddenly gives Uzume a hug and begs Uzume to stop. Minato knows that Uzume isn't a bad person and states that everyone at the Izumo Inn wants her to come back. Uzume is touched by Minato's actions and emotionally states that she likes everyone at the inn too, but it's too late for her to go back. Suddenly, a shower of ice needles appear out of nowhere, forcing Uzume to block with her sheets. The attack came from Akitsu who has arrived with Mutsu and Mikogami.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~What were Minato's Sekirei doing!? It was a 3 on 1 and they let Uzume grab Minato! At this stage of the game, they really need to pay more attention to their Ashikabi. Most of this chapter was Minato using his puppy eyes and hugging to try and convince Uzume to come back to the light, but it wasn't completely successful. I was expecting more reinforcements from Higa's camp to back up Uzume, but instead Mikogami showed up with two of his strongest Sekirei. Mikogami's group seems to be targeting Uzume, but maybe they are after Minato's jinki as well. I can't see why Mikogami would go out of his way to help MBI enforce the rules. The situation is developing, but looks like it could be a while before this goes anywhere.

Here's a list from 2channel of "common-knowledge seiyuu couples." Almost completely without evidence, but fun to contemplate. Just to make this even more like a tabloid rag, I've included photos.Kamiya Hiroshi (34) and Saitou Chiwa (28). The story is that after a difficult divorce (from a mangaka), and then a devastating motorcycle accident, Kamiya found Chiwa was his true friend. Some of the detailed indications on this 2channel page make at least a bit of sense: he gave his girl friend a watch and Chiwa likes watches, etc. The two have worked together quite a bit, particularly as Kouhei and Hazuki in Tsukuyomi Moonphase and as Araragi and Senjougahara in Bakemonogatari. Nakamura Yuuichi (29) and Inoue Marina (25). She is a capable and serious ojou-sama. His motto is "never be late" -- but he is apparently also highly sociable and the last to leave a drinking party. Taniyama Kishou (34) and Tomatsu Haruka (20). Well-known rocker Taniyama was previously (and probably spuriously) linked with Hirano Aya. At least the stories are consistent: the old satyr and the slim and genki young entertainer. Hino Satoshi (31) and Nakajima Saki (31). Shana's foil and Saki from Hayate. Ono Daisuke (31) and Tamura Yukari (33). Two mature, capable, and successful seiyuu. Terashima Takuma (26) and Itou Kanae (23). Teppei from Princess Lover and Amu from Shugo Chara. Okamoto Nobuhiko (23) and Hikasa Youko (24). Layfon from Chrome-shelled Regios and Mio from K-On. Irino Miyu (21) and Sanpei Yuuko (23). I think YuuYuu would wear the pants in this family. This match-up makes an interesting contradiction with the supposed yuri pairing between Sanpei and her old friend Koshimizu Ami. In fact, they have been showing up in each others' blogs somewhat less often in recent months. Suzuki Tatsuhisa (26) and Katou Emiri (26). Yuuji and Hideyoshi in Baka to Test. Or Sugata in Sora no Otoshimono and Kagami in Lucky Star. Suzumura Kenichi (35) and Sakamoto Maaya (29). Two of the beautiful people. Washizaki Takeshi (36) and Iguchi Yuka (21). The smart radio/TV host and the young veteran who plays moe roles like Index. Yoshino Hiroyuki (35) and Ueda Kana (29). Allelujah Haptism in Gundam00 and Saki in Saki. Kana-chan is a lot more mature as a person than are the moe characters she tends to play. Sakurai Takahiro (35) and Mizuki Nana (30). If this is true, it's huge. The wildly popular Nana-chan and a star seiyuu who remains under a bit of cloud for plagiarizing a live drama he helped produce a couple of years ago. Tachibana Shinnosuke (31) and Sakuno Airi (25). Not so well known, but they both work for big agency Production Baobab. She plays mainly unnamed roles. He was Minato in Sekirei. Nabatame Hitomi (33) and Itou Shizuka (29). At least there's one yuri couple that may actually be a couple. Two strong women who are top professional voices. Morikubo Shoutarou (35) and Nakahara Mai (28). Shou-chan is one of the foremost boys-love seiyuus. Mai-sama -- who just seems to get better and better at what she does -- was formerly linked with Shimizu Ai in a (fake) yuri relationship. Just to repeat: I have no knowledge that any of these relationships actually exists. This post is just for fun. My only basis is an otaku's post on 2channel.

Minato is awarded the jinki, and Uzume shows up to rob the jinki.No rest of Minato's team.Summary:Minaka swoops in while holding onto the ladder from his helicopter, but the ladder snaps and Minaka plunges to the ground. Minato and his Sekirei discover that the person who fell is a dummy of Minaka, and Minato retrieves the prize jinki (no. 3) from a chamber within the dummy. Through the speaker system, Minaka announces that the match is officially over and warns that the dummy will blow up in 10 seconds, but Homura burns the dummy to a crisp first because he is annoyed by Minaka's antics. With the jinki in hand, Minato and his Sekirei begin their journey back home.Back at Izumo Inn, Matsu, Kazehana and Kusano celebrate Minato's victory, but Matsu quickly realizes that the battle is not over. In a Mercedes somewhere on a highway, two people are discussing the third match in the backseats and they note that someone will try to steal the jinki.Minato and his Sekirei are walking back home, but suddenly Homura notices someone trying to sneak attack and he blocks the attack with his flames. Minato and his Sekirei turn to face the attacker who reveals herself to be Uzume. Uzume admits that she was the person who attacked the winner of the second match, and she demands that Minato hand over his jinki.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The match is over, but the fighting continues. At the end of the last chapter, I was surprised that Minaka decided to appear in person, but that just turned out to be a faint. It's no surprise that Uzume is the one who showed up to rob the jinki. It makes the most sense for Higa to use other people's Sekirei to do such dirty deeds, and Uzume is used to carrying out these tasks. Uzume is no slouch, but she isn't going to take down Minato's group by herself. She is probably weak against Homura since her attacks are cloth-based. Given the situation, I think Shiina and probably a few more other Sekirei will appear in order to have enough firepower to go up against Minato's current group. The other possible route is that Higa might dangle Yukari in front of Minato to make him give up his jinki, but this probably plan B just in case the jinki cannot be robbed by force. The battle between Minato and Higa for Yukari has to happen one way or another. Let's hope that the story will move a little quicker now so we can see that battle sooner.I wonder who those guys in the Mercedes were. The person on the right (side of the car) looks like Mikogami, but if he is Mikogami then why was his face obscured. The chat between the two guys in the car was interesting though, since they mentioned that Higa hates Sekirei. That partially explains why Higa acts so coldly towards his own Sekirei, although I wonder why he is taking part in Minaka's plans if he hates Sekirei so much.

Fully colored extras about Minato and Sekirei going to a bath house for Sekirei.Yes, I have taken the liberty to censor this page, although I could have justified not censoring it since Homura is still technically a guy.Summary (or the lack thereof):Just an extra where the Minato's Sekirei (plus Hikari and Hibiki) show off their bodies. What else would you expect?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I was expecting a real Sekirei chapter after the series took a break for the new year, but instead we got this extra. As with most of the colored extras, this extra chapter had plenty of boobs and tits. The joke at the end (page posted above) was kind of funny, but there's not much else to talk about. I guess it's time to wait another half month and hope that the next real chapter will be released.

Hanazawa Kana 花澤香菜 has the moe-est voice in anime.As Shiika in Mushiuta, Sora in Sketchbook (2007), and Sora again in the underrated Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto - Natsu no Sora (2008), Kana-chan took vocal moe to a new level. (click photos to enlarge)But already in 2007 we could hear that there was more to her, in her strangely communicative grunts as the main character in Potemayo. In 2008 she did the quite un-moe Zange in Kannagi, although with uneven results. And in the spring of 2009, she shifted her moe voice to create the fey but powerful ojousama Sharon Rainsworth in Pandora Hearts.Then in the fall of 2009, as Suou in Darker than Black 2, she broke out as a real actress. She is entirely believable as the conflicted Suou, tossed about in a sea of events she does not understand, but gradually adapts to.And although the voice is still that of a young girl, she produces a range of sound, from whispers to screams, that shows more and more technical mastery.Kana-chan broke into voice-acting at 17, in 2006, as the popular character Kaminagi Ryouko in Zegapain. But she had been in show business since at least 2001, when she was a 12-year-old child actress. She was a regular cast member in the TV drama Gakko no Sensei that year. And she had a minor seiyuu role in Last Exile in 2003.Here are images of a few of her important anime roles: (mouseover for captions) After her performance in Zegapain, the highly respected seiyuu agency Osawa Office took her on. Osawa represents such major seiyuu as Kawasumi Ayako and Noto Mamiko. As seiyuu Minagawa Junko said: "Isn't Osawa amazing to have recognized her?" And I agree. Her acting in Zegapain is adequate at best, but she had that voice, and Osawa realized even then that she might have the ability to make the most of it. The show is called: Can Hanazawa Kana Do It Alone?Between her drama work when she was 12 and Zegapain when she was 17, Kana-chan didn't get much work, but kept searching for her place in show business. A post on 2channel describes her as having been an "underground idol," and there are photos to prove it: Kana-chan doesn't have a great singing voice, and that may be one reason her idol career never took off. Summary:Oriha begs Higa to do the kissing power-up, and before kissing Oriha, Higa warns Oriha that he'll disown her if she were to fail. Meanwhile, Tsukiumi pulls Minato into her arms and the two kiss and perform to sacred chant. Both Tsukiumi and Oriha are powered-up and both release their power moves, but it is Tsukiumi who washes Oriha away with her waves. After being hit by Tsukiumi's attack, Oriha loses consciousness and her Sekirei crest disappears.Shortly after Oriha is defeated, fireworks light up the sky and Minato's team is declared the winner of the match (since the Disciplinary Squad forfeited). To the surprise of Minato and his Sekirei, MBI president Minaka appears in the sky dangling from a helicopter ladder to hand Minato the jinki.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Minato and Tsukiumi finally performed the kissing power-up for the first time, and as expected Tsukiumi just washed away Oriha for the victory. The third match may be officially over, but the interesting parts are just getting started. Minato's team may have won the jinki fair and square, but there's no way Higa is going to leave just like that. There is probably a naughty reason why Higa has two other Sekirei around, although to take down Minato's group Higa would need more Sekirei or better yet Higa can dangle Yukari in front of Minato's face. We've been stuck in this match for so long that it's about time for some major plot development. As for Minaka showing up, I think Minaka is just going to hand over the jinki and leave. I doubt Minaka will personally take part in anything until the final part of the series.

The Disciplinary Squad makes a surprising exit, and Minato's group is left to face Higa.No smooching during work.Summary:Tsukiumi scolds Musubi for clinging to Minato too tightly, but Musubi hugs Tsukiumi because she's relieved that Minato is okay, and Tsukiumi decides to forgive Musubi this time. Nearby, Benitsubasa is even angrier than before and asks Natsuo for her Norito (the kissing power-up). Natsuo is about to kiss Benitsubasa but suddenly he gets a phone call from Minaka. After the phone call, Natsuo informs Benitsubasa and Haihane that they have been recalled because a bunch of Ashikabis and their Sekirei have escaped from the city. Benitsubasa is not content with leaving but is dragged away by Haihane to the arriving helicopters. While Minato's group is wondering if the match is over, Karasuba is standing on a nearby overpass overlooking the group, but the Disciplinary Squad captain decides to go back to work as Yume did not emerge from Musubi.Back at the Izumo Inn, Matsu thinks the fight is over but she then notices there are three other Sekirei in the area and something doesn't add up. Back at the arena, two rings fly out of the smoke towards Minato but they are blocked by Homura. The rings came from Oriha who is heavily injured from her fight with Haihane. Higa emerges from the smoke and \Oriha asks Higa for her Norito. In response, Tsukiumi asks Minato for her Norito so she can put an end to the match.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Surprising developments to say the least. I didn't think the Disciplinary Squad would suddenly retreat, but I suppose it makes more sense for the entire squad to be around for a more important battle later down the road. Minato's group probably would have taken out Benitsubasa and Haihane if they fought to the finish. Another surprise is that Oriha is still active despite taking some big hits from Haihane, and now the match is just between Higa and Minato's groups. In addition to Oriha, Higa has at least two more Sekirei around and is definitely up to something. Tsukiumi should be able to beat Oriha without too much difficulty, but because of Higa's scheming, Higa and his Sekirei may be even more dangerous than the Disciplinary Squad. I think it may be time for Minato's group to copy Higa and call in some reinforcements as well.I wonder if Higa will dangle Yukari in front of Minato's face and force him to lose, although I don't remember if Higa knows Yukari is Minato's sister. Hopefully Higa will get his ass kicked soon.
