After the rather explosive post yesterday, which I tried to stick on the top of Otaku.fm but failed (how the hell did I make that mistake before and it worked that time too, the damned post stayed on top like until I noticed exactly what was wrong), I figured it would be better for me to make a rather popular kind of post. Yep, summer is here...though for me El Nino means I will probably get more rain than sunshine this summer here. Dual seasonal places are bad for health. Then again I hate the cold.Anyway, all the information here is piled from T.H.A.T. Anime Blog's summer preview, so all credits for the info I have gotten so far come from there. I recommend their read for the somewhat full summer preview of all shows, since I will only list what I am interested in here.Blade of the ImmortalA character that seeks death because he is immortal and wants to end it, what more need you ask for? Definitely on my watchlist. The PV for it seems fine so far, and what is more, Tomokazu Seki and Satou Rina are in it, with the former as Manji himself (the main). A talented male seiyuu combined with an upcoming popular female seiyuu, oh yes. Other notable seiyuu are Noto Mamiko, Morikawa Toshiyuki, Miki Shinichiro and Sakamoto Maaya. W00t. More points.Koihime MusouEroge adaptation. Obviously fanservice type. I will probably see if the story is funny enough to keep me going after the first 2-3 episodes, if even that. But at least 2 episodes, yes. I mean, come on, it is RTK...with eroge...and females...right.Natsume Yuujin-chouSeems to be 13 episodes long according to ANN. Supernatural type with possible thrillers...and a spirit cat. Now you know my soul is sold for cats and nekomimi. But the odds of the cat actually being a nekomimi is obviously small. Still, the storyline looks interesting for now, and with 13 episodes only, it is likely I will finish it so long as it is at least decent. Only notable seiyuu was Ishida Akira though, so this may be another anime that tries to show new talents that might be the next big thing in the seiyuu industry.Yakushiji Ryouko no Kaiki JikenboTranslated as Ryoko's Case File in ANN. This looks to be really promising right now. There is the supernatural, the mystery thriller, and the rivalry feel in it. Looks like I got another thriller to watch at least, this time with ghosts. What is more, Nabatame Hitomi, Kuwashima Houko and Fukuen Misato are in it. Win. Definitely on the watchlist.SekireiNo prizes for guessing why I am catching this - fanservice. Sekirei is about 108 Guardians that only certain people can call out. Harem? Oh yes. Two new up-and-coming seiyuu of note replaced the original cast from the drama CD, along with two others (whom I am not familiar with). The two are Hanazawa Kana and Inoue Marina. The original cast was way stronger, and included Tanaka Rie and Kawasumi Ayako. No idea why they decided to change. Why are they not having my favorite names nowadays in anime, dammit. I demand voice talent. Even if you are giving chances to new ones, at least keep the original ones if you were going to adapt from a drama CD. Bah.Ultraviolet: Code 044Another lookalike mystery thriller perhaps. Unfortunately, it is an adaptation of the original movie Ultraviolet, and involves mainly a woman genetically engineered to be stronger, faster, and better than a normal human in order to annihilate an army of vampires. I will watch it for the action, but if the story fails beyond the third episode I am stopping. For sure. The one saving grace is that it is by Madhouse, so there might be hope yet. It is also only 12 episodes long.Compared to my spring anime watchlist, I know there seems to be very few anime series. However this is already more than what I was expecting for summer, after last year's experience, where I only actually caught one series, that of Sky Girls, so yeah. Not really into catching the other shows, unless some reviews on some blogs or forums really interest me.Wet summer,Panther
