Comic-Con International has listed its anime screenings for the weekend, and there are a couple of interesting items...for example, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is screening on Thursday at 5:45pm, which I believe is the show's official offline premiere-- it didn't show at Expo nor is it currently on the schedule for Otakon (but correct me if I'm wrong).Of course, there are some errors and problems as well-- like “Aira,” which I assume is ARIA. Also, “ InuYasha Movie” is airing on Wednesday for preview night...never mind that there are four InuYasha films. Another interesting showing-- 7:05pm on Friday, Canaan. Does that mean we've got a license on our hands, or maybe Comic-Con got special permission? We'll see! A few good movie screenings: on Thursday at 8:05pm, Evangelion 1.0 is showing. Friday at 8:20pm will show be The Girl Who Leapt Through Time; the Silent Mobius film will show at 8:20pm on Saturday. I've got one other item I want to point out? Thursday, Friday, and Saturday there will be screenings of Iria: Zeiram the Animation at 2:30pm. The six-episode sci-fi OVA is a prequel to a live-action film, Zeiram, and features a female bounty hunter tracking down a formidable alien foe, Zeiram. I never saw the 1991 live-action flick, but the OVA was available at my local library when I first got into anime about thirteen years ago, and as such it's a serious nostalgia title for me. So if you're free around 2:30pm at Comic-Con, head over to room 25C for a really awesome classic.
