Alicia + Beth vs. Riful + Dauf, and Luciela-Rafaela makes its first move.The ultimate slicing n' dicing cutting machine.Summary:Alicia transforms into her awakened form much to the surprise of Riful and Dauf. The awakened Alicia then charges right at Riful, forcing the Abyssal One to transform. Dauf squashes Alicia with his left arm but Alicia destroys the arm and sets Riful in her sights once again. Before Alicia's next attack, Riful realizes that the Organization has succeeded in creating a fully controlled Awakened being, but she wonders why the Organization's two strongest Claymore out and not protecting their home base. After looking at the Abyss Feeders, Riful correctly concludes that Isley has been killed. As Alicia attacks again, Riful orders Dauf to take out Beth. Dauf fires some rods at Beth which Beth easily dodges, but Riful notices that Alicia slows down when Beth is under attack. However, the slow down proves to be brief, and Riful concludes that Alicia is the ultimate cutting machine as she loses more of her ribbons to the attacking Claymore.Not far away, Clare is monitoring the battle and is impressed by Alicia and Beth's progress. Clare then remembers that she supposedly knew nothing of the top two Claymores, and realizes these must be Rafaela's memories. Before Clare can think about Rafaela's gift, the Rafaela-Luciela entity starts to move and Clare is forces to retreat further back. Clare watches in shock as appendages emerges from the entity's two mouths to form a large spiked halo above the heads. Helen and Deneve arrive to rescue Clare, but Clare screams at them to get back. Further back, Riful has noticed that Alicia is slowing down again, but before she can take advantage she gets a threatening feeling coming from the gigantic monster.It's raining men giant spikes!At this moment, the Luciela-Rafaela entity unleashes a barrage from its halo, sending big spikes flying in all directions. Riful and Dauf are hit multiple times but Alicia manages to escape unscathed and heads towards the source of the spikes. Not far away, Uma grabs Cynthia and scrambles for cover. In the nearby village, Priscilla pulls Raki out of the way of a flying spike. Near the Luciela-Rafaela entity, Deneve and Helen thank Clare for warning them about the spikes, but their relief is short lived as the spikes start transforming into monsters.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The big bad twin-goddesses have finally made its (their?) move in epic fashion. As impressive as Alicia and Beth were in this chapter, Luciela-Rafaela just took over the show with one attack. Looks like Riful and Dauf may have been taken out already, although I think Riful will survive this attack given that has pretty good regeneration ability. Dauf could very well be dead though. Everybody else though will have to fight for their own lives against the spike monsters, and even Priscilla and Raki will be seeing action as the spikes have reached village. This is turning into the free-for-all I was hoping for. I don't think any of the groups stand a chance against Luciela-Rafaela right now, so the different groups might even have to work together to take down the twin goddesses. We might even get a Clare-Raki and Clare-Priscilla reunion too. I'm getting giddy just thinking about it.Looking at the Alicia/Beth vs. Riful/Dauf fight, the twins have gotten more powerful during the time skip, but Riful had the right idea of distracting Beth in order to slow down Alicia. If Dauf wasn't so slow, Riful might actually have actually gotten an advantage during the fight since Alicia relies on her speed. The fact that Beth has to concentrate and be relatively close by to keep Alicia under control is still a pretty glaring weakness. I found it interesting that the Abyss Feeders didn't join in to attack Riful, but they probably would have just gotten in Alicia's way.The next chapter will be probably be everyone fighting the spike monsters. I wonder if Priscilla will have to transform to fight the monsters, since Raki isn't strong enough and her current loli form seems pretty weak too. Maybe she can eat the monsters to power up? I also looking forward to see if Rafaela passed down some neat techniques to Clare.
