Hello everyone, Before starting with the new review let's celebrate our first month! Yes, the 22th of January was the creation date of this blog and here we are, after one month, more active than ever with 740 wallpapers available for everyone! Hope you'll continue to follow us even in the future. Let's go ahead an start the review. This time we'll talk of a rather famous Visual Novel adapted into an anime called Clannad and that got two anime seasons adaptation. Let's start up with a synopsis : Tomoya Okazaki is a third year high school student resentful of his life. His mother passed away from a car accident when he was younger, causing his father to resort to alcohol and gambling. This results in fights between the two until Tomoya's shoulder is injured in a fight. Since then, Tomoya has had distant relationships with his father, causing him to become a delinquent over time. While on a walk to school, he meets a strange girl named Nagisa Furukawa who is a year older, but is repeating due to illness. Due to this, she is often alone as most of her friends have moved on. The two begin hanging out and slowly, as time goes by, Tomoya finds his life shifting in a new direction. Yes, pretty much like I said in the title prepare your tissues because you'll likely cry on the way to the end of this series. While both seasons are littered with jokes (actually really effective and funny) from Tomoya and the others, there is a big drama area that you can't skip (as it's the main focus of the story) and that, at least in my case, make you literally cry... This series is supposed to be the third of a series of visual novel portraying different aspect of life. The focus of this one should be "family" (like it was "childhood" for Little Busters and if I remember correct "memories" for Kanon). The characters are many, but all likable. They configurate themselves like the typical characters from a visual novel and like always they orbitate around the main protagonist for some untold gravitational force. The graphical department is top notch and there is consistency in animation quality through all the episodes. Opening and Ending animation are both really good while quite simple. If I have to say one thing to the director would be "why in the nine hells you let that ED run just after Nagisa "died"?!". There are a couple of famous and important seiyuu in this series (like Mamiko Noto), but strangely they are on some minor character, while the main ones are, while pretty good, not that kind of famous. Opening and Ending songs are pretty nice, but sometimes (like I said before) not appropriate with the situation that is growing into the series. Concluding, this is a masterpiece anime that everybody loving anime should see at least once. The only downside of it is that you'll end up loving your characters so much that it will be pretty hard not to cry in some of the rather emotional scenes. But with a so nice and warm ending, really, it's worth the pain you'll have to withstand! See you soon, feal87
