Hello and good morning everyone, Here we are for another review about a rather recently (2008) adapted manga (4 volumes) / anime (12 episodes) named "Hatsukoi Gentei" also known as "Hatsukoi Limited" written by Mizuki Kawashita. Let's start with a quick synopsys : A series of short stories depicting the complicated love lives of eight middle school and high school girls, their classmates and relatives. These stories later intertwine to form a main story involving most of the cast. Yes, that's it. It's a rather simple plot, but well done for a romance/comedy series. Let me says this, the romantic story in this series isn't about drama and sufference, it's all about comedy and misunderstandings. The characters are many (one of each stereotype of girl), but likable even thought it will need a couple of episodes to remember properly their name! (I still don't remember some of them unfortunately!) My favourite girl is the bro-con imouto named Koyoi Bessho, she's the personification of the word "cute" with her antics!!! The graphical department is high quality as usual by J.C. Staff and the animation is pretty consistent each episodes (well there are some minor screw up in some point thought). The Opening and Ending animations aren't much interesting to watch, but looks well done. The seiyuu that worked for this project aren't much famous or experienced (except for Rie Tanaka maybe) and in some scenes this does appear like a problem in the series. The opening and ending songs aren't something it gets stuck in your mind, just your classic anime song. Concluding, this is not the best series you can find out there, but it's quite funny and can be a nice way to distract yourself!!! I may decide in the future to pick up this manga too, but at the moment I have many series to follow and I don't know If I can make space for this one too in the next shipment! Yes, Misaki Yamamoto is pretty hot. See You soon, feal87
