Hello again, Let's go ahead with yet another review of an manga/anime series. This time we'll talk about Kannagi, a manga series written by Eri Takenashi currenly on hiatus, adapted into a 13 episode anime (with an OVA). Let's start up with a synopsys : Mikuriya Jin decided to use a piece of the sacred tree to carve a statue for his middle-school project and while moving it outside, the statue happens to touch the ground transforming into a cute girl. Her name is Nagi, a Shinto spirit, the guardian of the village, and she is really annoyed that her sacred tree was cut down. Having no place to live, Nagi is forced to move in with Jin and tries to accept her new existence by venting her anger against bugs by squashing them... by cleaning the "impurities". Pretty common and unoriginal story based on the "sudden naked girl appearance" that often appear in romance/comedy series. Nevertheless the execution is wonderful and the anime is quite enjoyable. If I have to give one problem, that is about the pointless drama that appears out of the blue in an almost pure comedy anime... (much like what happened in Ookami To Shichinin No Nakama-tachi)  The characters are likable and very few so it's easy to empathize with them. There isn't much growth in their personality through the series, but there is a shadow of mistery on some of them. (mistery that does not clear up in the anime) The seiyuu in this anime are pretty famous, we have Haruka Tomatsu for Nagi and Kana Hanazawa for Zange! Their portraying of the character is perfect in each situation   Concluding, this may be an anime that doesn't shine in originality, but has its merit and I suggest to give it a try if you like harem comedy, That's all for now, feal87 My favourite character is of course, Tsugumi Aoba!!!
