Hey there! I’m finishing watching and writing up Anime from Spring ’13 for some of the series I’ve watched. It’ll take a lil while but hopefully series reviews will be up in the coming weeks. Anyways, just had a look through this season’s offerings (yeah, a couple of weeks late, but never mind that!) and I’ve decided to compile very quickly a couple of titles that I’ve deemed worthy of a look this season on first glance! Gin no Saji (Silver Spoon, by A1 Pictures) Gin no Saji? In Anime form!? WIIIIIINNNN! If you haven’t already guessed, I’m a huge fan of Fullmetal Alchemist’s mangaka Hiromu Arakawa’s latest work; Gin no Saji. I randomly came across this while browsing through scanlations and fell in love with the homely story set in Hokkaido, Japan. The genre is Slice of Life, so don’t expect any of Fullmetal Alchemist’s transmutation action. Instead, enjoy the comedy of a city boy’s attempt to settling down in a rural agricultural school balancing studies, farming duties, clubs and relationships, all whilst getting to grips with how we get the food we love to eat! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Blood Lad (by Brains Base) Again, this is another Anime that I followed initially through its manga.
