SaiAni reports that the anime adaptation of CLAMP's supernatural tale xxxHOLiC , about a guy who indebts himself to a witch named Yuuko in hopes of getting rid of his pesky ability to see and attract ghosts, is going to continue in the form of an OAD. I'm guessing that the news came in volume 15 of the manga, which was just released in japan today.Not unlike sister series the earlier OAD release xxxHOLiC Shunmuki that was released with the 14th volume in February, it looks like xxxHOLiC's will be released as part of a package with the 16th volume of the manga. No word yet on the title or what kind of story it'll be, but I'm sure it'll be excellent animation and a fun watch, whether it's Serious Plot Business or more of a fun filler.(For those who aren't yet up on Japan's recent shift in lingo, an “OAD” is the same thing as an “OVA,” a direct-to-DVD (or in some cases direct-to-Internet) release, as opposed to a TV broadcast or theatrical release.)
