Haruko Momoi has to be the most lively and sensationally funnest individual I have ever met. Returning to FanimeCon this year brought me a second chance to meet and talk with Momoi-san. Since seeing her at FanimeCon 2009, I have not only become a bigger fan of Haruko-san's, but I have been eagerly awaiting a time I could see and talk with her again. My second chance came just a little while ago at FanimeCon 2010.   If you didn't know, Momoi-san is a seiyuu, (Japanese Voice Actor) who has played the role of many lovable characters- most notably Seto from "Seto no Hanayome", and Komugi from "Magical Nurse Witch Komugi-chan". Nowadays, she has been somewhat of a more low-profile seiyuu, however, that hasn't stopped her from travelling the world, singing and performing concerts full of songs from various anime titles. You can learn more about Haruko-san on Wiki, or at her blog where she updates almost daily. The pic above is from one of her panels at FanimeCon 2010. I apologize for the low quality- was forced to wield my phone's cam at that moment. ^^;; Momoi has visited FanimeCon twice- during the con she has held several memorable panels where she talked about her life, career, and then proceeded to a Q&A time for fans. Momoi-san has been one of the most well received and most popular guests to ever attend FanimeCon, and after her stunning performance in 2009 at the con's concert series called "Music Fest", fans have begged for her return. In a conversation with Tony Figueroa (FanimeCon Chairman) he told me that he had thousands of various feedback from fans saying everything from "Best weekend of my life" to "please bring her back!" and more.  After all of her panels and mini-concerts held in the Karaoke room, I was able to finally briefly speak with Momoi-san. We talked about Udon noodles first, since she really likes curry-flavored Udon. XD Afterward we discussed her work in Akihabara- she used to commute through the city, and eventually held several jobs there. She told me that she thought that it may be one reason she ended up as a self-proclaimed otaku. We ended with talk of Baseball. Momoi-san is a big fan of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. If you ever get the chance to meet Momoi-san, do it, she's a wonderful and inspriational person.  More photos of Momoi Haruko-san and FanimeCon 2010 here. -Took a bit of video of Momoi-san this time just for you.
