Finally, the long anticipated continuation of popular comedy Hayate no Gotoku, based on same called manga, has begun airing. Once again we can see our debt ridden butler, Hayate, who lives in Sanzenin mansion and devotes his life to her Milady, the "okanemochi" Sanzenin Nagi. I believe that many of you know the main plot and many of you have seen the first season, so I guess it's not important to mention what happened in the first season. The first episode was well done to reintroduce all the characters in an enjoyable and interesting way. Again, we got to know that Nagi is a girl who hates to take a step out of her house, let alone participate in some physical exercises. Again, we got to know that Hinagiku can do anything as long as she doesn't do in a high situated place. This episode's main event was the Marathon Meet at high school. Nagi wanted to skip it but Maria didn't let her. With Hayate as a trainer, Nagi underwent a preparation for the meet, though she claimed that human body is not designed for running. At first, Nagi fell on ground after having run 50 meters, great accomplishment considering it's coming from that stay-at-home girl.Hinagiku ran in all the disciplines and had 100% winning percentage until the last one in which Nagi with Hayate participated. Hayate had to get rid of major opponents, and the last boss was Hinagiku whom he took to a suspension bridge. She lost her guard, became vulnerable, and cracked up.Despite the effort Nagi had put into the race, she lost to Katsura-sensei by size of chest. In case of Nagi we should rather talk about losing by flatness of chest though ^^Ayumu made an appearance too, of course. There hasn't been an episode without her, and I'm sure there won't be any even in the second season. The ending was completely Hina-centered, meaning a lot of pleasure for many people. I wonder if it means that she will be the main character. Who knows... Neveretheless, I'm looking forward to more of her, and not only her but all the characters. I would appreciate even a Klaus-centered episode, because it would definitely be fun XDTo wrap it up, Hayate no Gotoku!! 01 was a good starting episode that made me want more and more. This series will most likely be my #1 this season.
